Default Production numbers

With some 2006 models finally showing up in the U.S. does anyone have any idea how many of each year and model built and the country sent to / sold in? Is this something Chrysler would release? It is also very confusing when some of the 2004s were built in 2003 and released as 2004 models etc. Both of my 2005s were built in February of 2005. I wonder when they started building the 2006 models what the cut off was for the SRTs etc. This would be very valuable info, if it is available. It sounds like we may have the only Chrysler / Benz half breeds that will be built.

Nothing confusing at all. It's common practice to start building next year's models in the current year. It won't
be long before 2008 vehicles will be in the showrooms...

I was just wondering how many were actually built for each year. Do they build for 12 months or do the maybe build 2004s for 14 months and 2005's for 9 months and 2006 for??? I guess my question is what determines the year of the vehicle other than the number they stamp on the Vin.?

Production numbers have been posted before but I'm not sure if the 2006 year was included. I guess 2007 is still a big question. With Chrysler and Benz talking split I really doubt any 2007's.

Go to Chryslers web page and I don't think you will see anything about a 2007 car and if it was coming out it would been there a long time ago!

approximately 3K 07's have been built and are in chrysler's recall database. chances are these vehicles may be for sale in markets outside the u.s. just like the vast majority of 06' models.
