Xfire's Best Features
Xfire's Best Features
Hi Everyone. I think it would be cool to start a thread that lists some cool features that most people don't know our xfire's have. For future owners! Here is some I know. Everyone add the ones I missed!
Driver Convenience: Cabin Air Filtration System - Fresh Clean Filtered Air inside Cabin - Also cuts down on cabin dust.
Driver Convenience: Recirculation Button - Prevents outside air (dust and odors) from entering your vehicles cabin. You can also use this feature to keep warming your cabin for 30 mins when it is cold outside.
Convenience: Locking Gas Door
Driver Convenience: Speed Sensitive Wipers - Wipers will change from normal mode to intermittent mode while stopped to prevent the wipers from going across a dry windshield.
Serviceability: Oil Level Sensor - Alerts you when the oil level is too high or low.
Serviceability: Anti Tow Away Alarm - When engaged if someone tries to tow the car the alarm will go off and the lights will start to flash.
Driver Convenience: Integrated Key Remote - The key and remote are one piece. The keys flips out of the remote like a switchblade.
Serviceability: Tire Pressure Monitoring System - A light will illuminate on the dash if the tire pressure is too low. Most people dont check this enough. It shouldn't replace your own checking but it helps.
Serviceability: Flexible Service System - Helps you keep track of when service is due and what service is due.

Re: Xfire's Best Features
Automatic Transmission Program mode selector switch: The transmission is provided with a selector switch for Standard “S” and Winter/Wet “W” (snow and ice) program modes.
Driver Convenience: Telescoping Steering Wheel.
Serviceability: Top accessible oil filter element that is easily removed without mess.
Serviceability: Light Outage Indicator With the key in the ignition switch turned to the ON/RUN position, an indicator light comes on. It should go out when the engine is running. If the indicator light does not go out after starting the engine, or if it comes on while driving, it indicates a failure in the parking light, taillight, stoplight, or low beam headlight. The indicator light will come on when the exterior light fails. If a brake light fails, the light outage indicator will come on when applying the brake and stays on until the engine is turned off.
Safety - Electronic Stability Program (ESP): The ESP enhances directional control and reduces driving wheel spin of the vehicle under various driving conditions.
The ESP system corrects for over/understeering of the vehicle by applying brakes to the appropriate wheel. Engine torque is also limited. The ESP warning light, located in the instrument cluster, starts to flash as soon as the tires lose traction and the wheels begin to spin.
Convenience: Dual climate temperature controls.
Convenience: Heated seats.
Convenience: Dual 'one touch down' power windows.
Convenience: The HomeLink Universal Transceiver replaces up to three remote controls (hand-held transmitters) that operate devices such as garage door openers, motorized
gates, or home lighting. The transceiver triggers these devices at the push of a button. The transceiver operates off your vehicle’s battery and charging system: no batteries are needed.
Convenience: Umbrella Hook. Your Crossfire is equipped with an umbrella hook. This
feature is located behind and between the two seats, just above the map pocket.
Night Security Illumination: For added security when exiting the vehicle after driving with the exterior lights on, the lights will switch on again for approximately 30 seconds after closing the last door. The lights-on timing can be changed at your authorized dealer.

Re: Xfire's Best Features
Hum, never knew it was an umbrella hook. I thought it was some kind of coat hook, where you hooked a hanger on it, and put the coat in the hatch. Never actually did it. Wonder how effective the hooks are for an umbrella, seems a little backward since the hook latches push in, and it seems like it would hit the umbrella and make it hard to get out. And what good does the anti-tow away do? If the guy is going to tow your car, he's doing to do it with the horn and lights going off. He's not gonna stop and leave because of the horn.
Oh and I think the dual climate control and dual heated seats are one of the best convenience features. I also like how there's no button on the auto-sticks, you can just rock the shifter from park to drive.

Hello CF Enthusiasts,
Another feature for the Roadster Only...besides the individual window switch for each window...you can use the Roadster Top Down switch to raise and lower both windows together at the same time!
Also...on the Roadster only..when you turn the Roof Latch to unhook and lower the rag-top roof...both windows lower automatically! Cool!
Also...was it mentioned that you have a manual override switch for the Auto Rear Spoiler (not on SRT) , so you can put it up and leave it up!

This feature is a programmable key-fob option that you can program yourself!!!...but I forget how to do it...but Stryfox and others know how to do it.
