I second that!!!...i need my music..and have been wanting to put in at least an additional 10 inch or 12 inch sub...for over a year now..but other things keep on arising to where i have to spend the money saved for it on other more important stuff higher on the totem pole. So i must say that the stock system is also one of the best i have heard and is doing me just fine until i finally loose my mind and splurge and put the "system' on my credit card!

Thumbs up Re: Xfire's Best Features

I just traded in my 2005 Magnum RT for my Standard Coupe and I could not be happier. The looks, price, and the cornering are amazing.
This car handles real good. The funny thing is, I've been telling everyone that asks me about the car in the past 2 weeks that the best feature was the cornering and looks The first thing that I read here is the "handles real good". Too cool.

I like the fact that I will be able to get out of my drive and onto the road within a couple of weeks! Its been a long cold winter sitting in the drivers seat, trapped in the garage.

1. It's a great chick magnet.
2. It corners very, very good.
3. It costs one hell of a lot less than a Saleen!

One of my favorite things is the home link integrated remote control, no fumbling for remotes!

won't the whole anti-tow device system just make it worse? i mean, your right, the dude isn't going to get scared off my a horn, or siren, or whatever. and he's just going to end up having to DRAG my Xfire on its new, and painfully expensive tires up onto the tow truck...this seems like a no win situation for me quite frankly, seems i'd just rather not get towed in the first place...

If you do not want you XF to be towed. Just back it into a spot where the tow truck driver cannot get to the tow hook under the rear bumper. A lot of people do not know that you have to remove the lower front grille to get to the front tow hook. The poor tow truck driver will have a heck of a time trying to find a place to "hook-up" the device with all the plastic shielding in the way underneath.

"Speed sensitive volume control"...I do not think I have this...is this something you can program as a feature? If so...How? Can you actually see the volume db change with speed? If I set my volume to -20db...it stays at that setting...irrespective of my speed...unless I physically turn down the volume.

Thanks for the reply...I wonder if the radio is connected to the same output on the speed sensor that drives the variable speed control for the windshield wipers?

I pushed the aud button in and all it did was reset the bass, balance fade and treble to 0. It displayed "linear" when it did it. I tried with the radio on and off. Does this not apply to the base radio with the black *****?

No i just tried my 04' coupe. It has the same radio as the 05's LTD's, and it just said LINEAR and reset everything to 0. How do you get to the user menu?

Just a thought but could this feature be available on the replacement radio (the one that was installed under the TSB) with the brighter screen and not on the original radio with the dim screen?
