What cup holder, I don't see no stinking cup holder in my 07'...unless my wife is sitting in the passenger seat.

 

Has anyone else noticed the Xfire's incredibly short turning circle? It's almost as if it rotates around it's back wheels....kinda like one of those zero radius lawn tractors. I have a side entry 3 car garage & I could never enter the door closest to the street with my previous car without at least one backup....now I can easily do it on the first try.

 

Sort of holds true to the saying "turning on a dime" very nice I agree.

I am new here. As of yesterday, I now own a Crossfire. I picked up an '05 Coupe with 180 miles on it. The last 48 miles of that were my test drives. This was a "Corporate" car (??) and the dealership in Manteca, CA had it. I got it for about $300 above dealer cost.

Awesome car and I'm looking to this group to learn more about the car and accessories I'll need.

My first question - do those power chips really work?

Lisa, tell us about your car....this is WILD....an '05 with zip miles??? I know any '06s bought new after 7/25/07 get the "Lifetime" warranty....but I never dreamed there were any '05s still out there...color-limited-auto/stick, etc? How much was $300 over cost?

By the way (anyone), is it true the dealerships were getting $10K back from Chrysler to sell these cars?

just to be clear, my last name is Lisa, its Italian. First name is Mark. No worries, happens all the time.

The sticker says the car was built in 07/04, but it's an '05. Now has almost 190 miles on it. Aero Blue is the color, I believe, I'll double check. 6 speed manual. Beautiful to drive, grabs the road like a sailor grabbing a beer on a payday Friday night. I had it up to 110 in 5th. My part of CA has lots of flat country roads upon which to exercise the engine.

Had mine up to about 110 today too...till wife said stop it! You'd think after 38 years she'd be used to this kind of behavior. You gotta try the turning circle thing...it almost goes sideways.

 

For a faster throttle response I would suggest a Sprint Booster
You might also change the Air filters to a set of K&N's

The price is low enough I was able to buy my SRT6 this year.

If that's not a feature it should be.

 

My turn to bring up an old thread.

Another "feature" not mentioned so far is the fact that the car cranks by it's self till it starts. Just turn the key momentarily to the START position, let go, and the car will continue to crank till the car starts. Try it. Saves me at least 20 secs a week!

Don't know how long it will crank cuz my car starts pretty quick.

 

If only my sister's escape had it, she just keeps going till the starter motor makes grinding noises, the sound kills me. I'm amazed it hasn't broken yet, especially because it is a ford. Very cool feature, also found in mercedes .

 

I like the way the wipers go intermitant when you come to a stop ! (Might already be posted, but I was too lazy to read all the posts!)

 

?? So wipers are on, you come to a stop. And then they automatically go intermittent?
That's a new one on me!
Course we don't get much rain 'round here.

 

yeah, they go about half speed until you start moving. I hate the windsheild wipers on our car, theres no way to get them to go just the right speed!

 

one convience is having people stare at you, and at times those people can be very good looking girls
