Since yours is a 2004, it is the only model they made that year. In 2005, they came out with the base, limited, and SRT6. Your 2004 is basically the same as a 2005 limited, not a base model.

Where did you get the SLK seats? Are they just the leather skins or did you replace the entire seat? The one thing I really wanted in the XF was leather seats but the deal on the Base model was too good to pass up at the time. I have looked into an aftermarket company that makes a high quality product but if I could get actual SLK leather skins that would be in better keeping with the car. Your seats are what I had in mind that my base seats should look like in leather. The seats are firm but comfortable and quite supportive. I had actually considered getting Recaro after market seats so I wouldn't change the factory originals.
What were the wiring pictures in your gallery?

Re: Base Vs. Limited Gas Mileage
Ok so the mileage was tracked today and for straight highway for about 200 miles I got 27.7 mpg going about an average of 75-80 mph over the course of the trip on 93 octane. I also changed my oil a couple days prior so engine was running on clean Mobil 1 0w40.
I have a '04 with a manual but I don't think it matters too much when you're in the final gear.
