Default Withdrawals

Team Crossfire, is anyone out there going through CROSSFIRE withdrawals because of all of the rough weather? Some folks are really getting blasted.

Our biggest problem with winter so far is just keeping the car clean. Slop, slush and salt doesn't do much for the appearance of a black one.

Yes definite withdrawal...fortunately for me one of my businesses is storage so I have the roadster stored in my building where I work...that way I can go out and stroke it once in a while and start the engine. Hopefully it will be an early spring and outside it goes.

Minnesota winters absolutely dictate storing the Crossfire until spring... not a great shot, but proves that a Crossfire and a Piper Cherokee can co-exist under one roof!

Nope, no withdrawals at all.

Oh wait, I live in South Florida and drive mine every day of the year.

Poor babies.

Likewise , 365 driving days a year (well except when hurricanes come).

Mild winter weather here in Mich (until this week) has helped prevent my X-Fire withdrawals. Just drove mine today and will be out tomorrow too - weather predicted to be sunny and 30 degrees.

Actually, with the seat warmers and fantastic heater, the X-Fire is a great winter car (as long as the roads are dry). If there's snow or ice, I'm in my Jeep.

So far so good here in Maryland. I drive it every day. The only time it stays parked is when there is snow or ice. I can walk to work so its no big deal.

A week ago tonight we got 1/4" freezing rain, then 2" of sleet, another 1/4" freezing rain and then about 1" of snow on top. We are supposed to get 3"-6" of snow tomorrow night. The Crossfire hasn't been out in a week! I'm going crazy!!!

Withdraws...I received my brand new 2005 Xfire December 7th and haven't driven it since Dec. 18th because my street is still snow packed and has 6 inch deep ice pot holes in it... I was only able to drive it 100 miles before it took shelter in the garage. Before I purchased it, I thought there would be a few days I wouldn't be able to drive it because of snow and ice but Mother nature had a different plan. Have been buying things for it since reading about all these things that I need on this site. Thanks everyone for helping me out. I'm looking forward to the day I can drive the Blue Beauty.

Everyone needs to come down to Florida. It has been in the high 60's and mid 70's great driving weather!

Cool Re: Withdrawals

Yep definitely having withdrawals. It has been in the garage since the end of October. However, I have replaced the cup holder with the bin, added the 3M film along the rocker panels, waxed it and stripped the rust from the door seals while it has been in storage. Soon as is warms up above 50F I need to treat the doors seal channel with Rust Bullet and repaint them. I still plan to install the Rotex pads and the Sprint Booster before I take it out of storage.

No withdrawals so far...Winter hasn't been too bad here in Michigan, so I still take my out whenever I get a chance but only when the roads are dry...
