I'm sure there are a bunch of usable parts on that car...can someone who races use a donor? (Derek?)

That stinks... Looks like it took the hit well, notice the driver compartment is pretty in tacked.

The bidding is up to $1,802.00. If it had been in a flood it be fetching much, much more.

If it wasn't alabaster, it probably wouldn't bother me as much as it does. Still, I hate to see any fellow Crossfire owner suffer such a loss.
I sure hope that windshield was broken by the air bag, and not someone's head.

That was definitely the airbag. Someone had a wreck last year & posted pics of the aftermath. The airbag deployed & broke the windshield in the exact same way.

If you look at the deployment space for the passenger side airbag, there's little doubt that the windsheild is going to get hit with something upon delployment, but I didn't think it would be strong enough to shatter it like that. wow that some force.

Thanks, found it... Ft Worth TX... Would cost too much to pick it up and bring it back to CA... Weird that the driver airbag didn't deploy !!! I'm sure all the engine internals are intact... considering a long block runs $7,500 it would be worth the price if it was a bit closer to me...

Derek, You could probably buy that car for way below their "buy it now price" and have it shipped to LA. Shipping probably wouldn't be that bad. We used to have cars shipped from Fla. to Ohio for less than $300 per car. (But that was a few years ago). But if I were you, I'd check it out. You might be surprised at how little it finally sells for. Wait until the last few seconds of the auction, then make the highest bid you're willing to pay.
It never hurts to have a few extra parts laying around when you're racing.

Seems odd that the driver side airbag did not go off also. The driver side looks like it took a good hit. Makes me wonder if they all work!

It's the lid that holds the airbag of the passenger's side that hit the windshield...hummm.

That car went for a fair price and would have made an excellent spares donor!

Idaho, I forgot to put that wrecked Crossfire on my "ebay watch list". What did it finally sell for?
Thanks.

+fireamx I believe it went for $5,500. You could definitely get your monies worth out of it and a nice stash of parts.
