Yeh... I agree...

Crossfires are junk!

It is costing me 5 times more to drive this Crossfire than any other car I've owned!!

Because, for no reason, I go out for a drive and enjoy the hell out of it!!

So gas is costing me a fortune!!

Gotta love that Crossfire!!!

I guess I meant to title this email...CROSSFIRES HAVE SPUNK !

That is so well put, I agree 110% with you. I did my homework when the car came out and I stand by my decision with no regrets so far. Granted, I have been less then impressed with the Chrysler service from one dealership but the new dealership I am using has done excellent work on my car and very pleased. It's is definitely all depends on the dealership. I can empathize with FirebaseD I have also experienced the same frustration with Ford and Chevy products and it does quickly jade your opinion of the vehicle. All Manufactures turn out some quality vehicles and some lemons in all of their line. My experience, if you end up with one of the problem cars cut your losses immediately and move on; you'll never ever be happy with the car.

By the way our cars are not junk; they are more like people. Some days the gene pool is a little murky, especially towards the end of the week or the shift. FirebaseD may not have dueling banjos in his car but the radio clicking and AC light may be a close second!

STOP!!!

Those who have the misfortune of having a problematic crossfire, it is not Chrysler's fault, not the dealer's fault, not the technician's fault, IT IS actually your own fault!!! In my view.

I had alot of problematic vehicles to sell and service throughout my years while dealing with problematic customers.

You all know that old saying: THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE FIRST.

SOMEONE SUGGESTED A POLL. FINE. IT WILL GOOD TO SEE THE PERCENTILES. BUT MY CONCERN IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. STRENGTH COMES IN NUMBERS. GROUP UP AND START SOME KIND OF "CLASS-ACTION" ATTACK ON CHRYSLER. IN OTHER WORDS, DEVISE A PETITION (OF EMAILS TOO).

WHILE THE PAPER WORK IS WORKING UP AT HQ, YOU SHOULD BE MORE HARSH WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. DEMAND TO SPEAK TO A GENERAL MANAGER. IF HE IS NOT THERE, THREATEN TO WAIT!!!

BE A LITTLE LOUD. DEALERSHIPS HATE LOUD CUSTOMERS!!! BAD ENVIRONMENT FOR WOULD-BE CUSTOMERS OR ANYONE WITHIN EARSHOT.

ANOTHER TECHNIQUE IS... I HAD A GROUP OF PEOPLE PICKET THE FRONT OF MY ESTABLISHMENT!!! WITH SIGNS CLAIMING THAT I WAS A CROOK!!!

THESE PEOPLE ALWAYS! ALWAYS! ARE PRIORITIZED!

I don't think that we can blame Chrysler for making a bad head unit for the radio, but instead Becker for making it. DC gets the blame for choosing it.

I don't think that DC can be blamed for the plastic/polycarbonate in the lens, we can blame them for picking it.

Weird noises in the glove box ?? The noises should be recreateable at the service department so they can hear it, or do they "sense" you brought it in and go "Oh crap he took us to get fixed, everyone be quiet!!"

Electrical shorts ... hmmm ... there should be the telltale odor of melted plastic or wiring. Electrical components have a way of letting you know through our sense of smell that they went bad.

Is it a LEMON ? Doubtful ... it still gets you from point A to point B safely.
Are some of the internal extras DC picked out junk ? Perhaps

FirebaseD, I've been quiet for some time and I think that all the posts above are testament that the cars we chose might not be perfect, (show me something in this world that is), but they are truly unique, flaws and all. I love my XF, I love pampering it, and I love the sound of the engine and exhaust when I jump on it ... most of all, I love the head turning and conversations that crop up - from strangers.

Keep trying to get the "EXTRAS" fixed, but don't call it junk or a lemon because the radio is messed up ... and I know what you are talking about there ... mine chatters/clicks too and doesn't eject the disc at times ... that's not DC's fault.

Viva la Crossfire!

Love my crossfire, would buy another in a heart beat. Have some hazing on the lense. Other than that 100% perfect at 32,000 miles.

Now there is a whole page of member A and B going at it.

Some people on the net are saying this is Dr. Z calling the American Crossfire "Junk"... I don't know but it could be, he does claim to be Dr. Z and it does sound like him... mmm.

Hey almost 33,000 miles, zero, nada, no problems at all. 100% satisfied would by another new one if they are about 10K of sticker. I traded an XLR for this car. Its not that I can't afford 38K for a new one I just think they are a good value at today's pricing not where they started. Not going to spend 38K so next week its worth 18K.

Come on all lets break 100! Will this be a new record for a thread length? Will Firebase go down in crossfire history. Does the 100th responder get a special prize?
