I've had my XF for more than a month now, I absolutely love the car but the Chrysler services is a big disappointment. I'm still waiting for my owner's manual and I have to figure out all the gadgets by reading this forum. I've just discovered where the coin box is but I still can't figure out what the FSS reading really mean. My current reading is - 248, can somebody please tell me what that means. BTW, the 3M plastic cleaner worked wonders ridding the haziness on the headlight.

Welcome to the board Clem! Congratulations on your purchase. I've had mine about 6 weeks now and got on the board right about the same time. Don't be shy about asking questions ... many knowledgeable people here. Do some searches for some of the mods you can do ... it's well worth it.
Once again ... welcome!

Re: Just picked up a crossfire!
I just picked up an '04 Xfire this past weekend. I was looking at buying a Solstice, but the dealership was selling for 10k over ticket price. So walking around the lots I came across an Alabaster '04, six speed in great condition.
Funny thing is, I haven't driven stick in 12 years, and that was in England... so to try it out, my wife drove both cars and told me not to bother with the Solstice as it's totally inferior. After a week of getting used to the stick being on my right side, I'm loving it. Absolutely the best car I have ever ridden in.

This is his wife and HOLY****!!! I love his new car!! I drove the crap out of it for a week!!! Had to see what it would and could do!!! I raced a camaro and smoked him in 3rd gear! TWICE!!! LOL... Does amazing donuts...skids around corners perfectly!!!...is comfortable as I found out driving it around 150 miles looking for his fathers day gift...
Just wanted to say...all of you that have this car...you are lucky!!! I want one now!!! But he took it from me now that he knows how to drive it!!! And I am stuck with the soccer mom 4x Pathfinder!!!
Thanks,
Terri

Mr. Greenie, thank for the tip. I've one more question regarding the FSS reading. I noticed a wrench and a clock were showing before the number -248. You had mentioned that a single wrench mean a schedule "A" service. Does a clock and a wrench mean something else. BTW, I still haven't received my owner's manual. It's really becoming a little annoying.

Single wrench = "A" service
Two wrenches = "B" service
Just get the oil changed and make sure the dealer resets the FSS. If they forget to reset it, you can do it yourself, but it's kind of a pain. The instructions for resetting it are on this forum, just do a search.
