Default Those clips between the seats (?)

I've searched old threads, and the consensus holds that those prominent clips are for umbrellas (umbrellae?).

Really?

TWO of them? Does anyone use them for this? You got pictures to prove it? Are they good for anything else?

YOUR REWARD FOR READING THIS THREAD:

In scouring for an answer to this clip conundrum, I ran across the following Heloiseian
Hint: Put your Owner's Manual in that bulkhead pouch; it'll simultaneously stop that banging sound the console lid makes AND free up space in the glove box.
You're welcome.

I thought the same thing??? I used them to hang air fresheners on then hide them in the pouch. I would probably try the umbrellas but it doesn't rain much in Arizona.

I'd heard that the were for an umbrella - however, having used my umbrella yesterday, I'm fairly sure that the diameter of my umbrella is too large.
On another note, an umbrella will encroach into the cut-outs/recess for the seats.
When I first saw them I thought they were just coat hooks.

What's the snap thing on the rear of the passenger seat for?

I hang an umbrella from one and my Crossfire ball cap from the other.

Excellent idea, because otherwise, I have found that pouch to be essentially useless.

Dobro - Thanks for the owner's manual tip. Great idea.

Dobro, sometimes the simplest, and most obvious cure to a problem, is the hardest one to see. Owners manual/Pouch idea works great. Thanks!

Do you suppose that's what D/C originally intended the pouch to be used for, and just never bothered to tell anybody?

Thumbs up Re: Those clips between the seats (?)

We use the clips to hold our Crossfire hats and the center pouch is the perfectly size for a Case Logic 48 CD case. Also the web pouch behind the passenger seat holds the front license plate just in case we get hassled for not having it mounted on the front bumper.

We also use the clips for our Crossfire hats. You always know where they are if you keep them there.

Am I the only one who finds the net pockets behind the seats useless because it's such a pain to get the seat back to move forward? I'll never understand why there is no quick release.

You can be confident that you aren't the only one who feels this way. The pockets allow DCX to say they are there, but they do very little for owners as a useful daily practical matter.

It's not a bad place to store a paperback navigational system called a "Road Atlas" for emergencies.
Sure beats having to ask directions.
(It's a guy thing ladies), you wouldn't understand.

I store a collapsible umbrella back there. Its much more convenient than clipping it to those hooks between the seats.

What is wrong with you men?? I hang my huntin rifle on those clips, the strap on the 270 fits into the clips, and the rifle hangs down (kinda suspended like) perfectly... whenever I'm on the back roads and dinner runs out onto the side of the road, I think God those folks at Chrysler were on the ball when they designed this car... hooah ... Oh before I forget I store extra ammo in that net behind the passenger seat, is there anyone else that don't do the same thing?? What are you folks thinkin?

Okay...now I'm jealous...where do I get MY Crossfire hats. Unlike the group from the June 4 Chrysler Museum to Orphan Car Show rally group...I don't work at Chrysler...so the employee purchase website is unavailable. I'll need two...one for my honey.
