anyone committing to purchasing a product for a car before seeing it completed and on a car *or photoshopped*, really needs to rethink what their doing in my opinion.

i think the lines of the grille may look incredible, but then again it may look like sh*t...only time will tell.

I don't know Brother, I'm standing by for the end results, I did my own photoshop and now I'll wait for what you come up with... how much air flow with this grille (for engine cooling) compared to the Chrysler grille...? This does not appear to be an oem fit replacement part, or am I missing something...? You folks over there should not be showing me anything but the finished product... and it has got to be an oem fit, not something I can buy from Wal-Mart... put it on a crossfire and post the picture... hooah

firebase for the first time ever...it seems we agree.

if you would post your photoshopped grille, don't care how good it looks just want an idea of how it will look.

lol, i love when people finally come over to my side, the pessimistic side. when it comes down to it, just about everything attempted to mod this car by this forum has been shot down, been too expensive, or come out crappy...

interesting opinions...

here are a few facts:

- the price won't change with this type of grille
- the air flow is the same, maybe a bit better
- its a full replacement part, the grille use the same mounting points

also we have test a grille like our photoshop picture, but it doesn't look really good, because the space in front of the grille is too big and not nice. so we have make a decision and build the fiberglass frame. the center stut should be pick up the crossfire center line. you can find the center line on the engine hood and on the bumper, so we have build it in the grille too.

we are also excited how the grille looks on the crossfire. next monday we know more. i will post tomorrow or on saturday some pictures from the painted grille with the final polished mesh.

Guys, stop dissing CTD on this. You haven't even seen the finish product yet? How can you draw any opinions? The fact is we came to CTD with an idea. An idea of a mesh style grill. Even we didn't know what we really wanted or would look right. These guys are doing the R&D and the mock ups to make a product that looks correct for the car. I am sure it will look much better than our current minivan grill. And in one of Tino's earlier posts he did mention about the frame needing to be painted to match your car.
You can not put down a work in progress. You don't really know what the finished result is going to look like on the car. Hell, remember Lindsey Lohan in some of her earlier movies? What a funny looking girl. Ah, but now all the development is done. Nice final product there huh? I wouldn't mind having her on my Crossfire.

Seriously though, give CTD a break. Wait for the finished pics. If you still don't like it, take your name off the list. Simple.

Note to Tino: Thanks for all your hard work over there. Most of us really do appreciate it.

I agree with Knowit, I have purchased many items from CTD with out any issues, great fit and finish and great customer service. I feel that the end product will not be any different as far as fit and quality. Its a beautiful thing that someone out there is listening to our wants and needs. I am not interested in the upper grille, and am quite satisfied with my OEM grille with the CTD chrome covers, I am only interested in the lower grilles. I totally understand that some owners would like to see what they are getting first for their hard earned money. I have total faith in CTD and am sure that most of us will be very happy with the finished product, IMHO.

Well take my name off the list, not interested in having to paint, spend huge amounts of time working on this car. I have two cars that i have to work on all the time. This is my daily beater.

I personally think the newer prototype grill that we were shown is awesome. It will scare away wimps like me who are afraid to seriously mod their car. I would love to get away from the pacifica's pt's front end but...

As bob says...time will tell.

Well after looking at the Sebring front end, I can't wait for CTD to complete this one. I am very anxious to change the look of the front end of my Crossfire. I always thought it looked great, but now the whole family looks the same. Time for a change. I am still in.

Thanks for doing the entire R&D. I am looking forward to seeing the final product.
If the grille is the same quality as the other parts they make and carry we should be happy.
The grille is my least favorite part of this car, I understand it fits the Chrysler theme but that is also the mini van theme...

I think it looks pretty bad ***. I just wish the mesh was more forward into the grill instead of behind it. I don't like how the mesh is all the way back, it should be sort of intergrated more into the bezel, more forward.

If that makes sense. thanks for the work CTD.

Personally - I think that that peeve combined with the lower mesh grills will be stunning on my Black LTD Coupe.

tino, I like the grill so far and can't wait to see it on the car. my only suggestion is that the mesh needs to be of a much beefier size and it should be further forward in the grill and not all the way in the back. that way the flowing lines are continuous. contact me if you need elaboration.

thank you for your work.

Agreed. And perhaps an option to have the grille frame chromed or finished in some fashion so that those of us who are paint-challenged can do a DIY without too much fuss.

I did a little primitive photoshopping and I know this is going to look really nice. I'll try and clean up the image before I post it.

I was one of the first folks who said they would buy the grille if it was produced. I have tried to hold final comment on the last rendition presented by CTD. I will continue to do this until it is shown on a car installed. Someone made the comment about the mesh being so far back. It does look that way. I understand what CTD is doing with the surround on the grille. You need something substantial to hold the grille in place. I don't think anyone is gonna be happy if you receive something flimsy to install. I would agree that I expect something with the mesh a little more forward in the grille. Then again, why doesn't some just get some HD mesh and install over the existing grille to see how that looks? I know, I know... Why don't I try? Not mechanically inclined.

Look forward to installed grille pictures. Still a big THANK YOU to Tino and CTD for their efforts.

The finished product isn't what I expected. More like a GTO look rather than the classy heavy mesh I was expecting to see. I do like it though. It continues the center line from the lower grill. Nice job Tino! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished photos.

I think the "new" grille looks great! and if I read Tino's remarks correctly, it will use existing bolt pattern. So what's a little paint.

COUNT ME IN!
