the new jaguar and also the new bentley have now a chromed ABS plastic grille. so its no problem to design and produce the complicated look like this.

our mesh have the same mesh like the old jaguar xjr. if you have one, you can compare. in the close up picture of our user gallery you can see how the mesh looks like.

at the moment we make the last modifications on the proto, after this we build the tooling for the production. but i see, that the interest become very low. i know that everyone wants to see the final painted grill, but i don't have it in my hands at the moment. please be patient.

Still interested Tino. And I'm sure that a host of other X-fire owners are as well.

Please keep up the good work!

I think the additional plastic around the grille and down the center completely changes the appearance from the first expected photoshopped (silver) version.

For the better! Thanks Tino
I just ordered my new SRT bumper and I just got my new headlights. Waiting for the grill to complete my "nose job".

Oh, I need fog lights too if anyone has any.

here are some nice Chrysler grills, I do like the way the older Phaetheon grill incorporates the center spine similar to CTD's idea but improved with a classy look.

Here here, sorry but there are to many people here with bad taste. Tino make the grill and I will purchase it. If its not made I'm gonna be seriously pissed. There is no accounting for taste I guess.

Yeah, I went there.

And for people saying that it looks like chicken wire get new eyes. It is identical to the Jaguar XJR mesh which is a really nice looking mesh.

Variety makes the word go round. If everyone had the same taste, what a boring world this would be, everything would be the same!!

Take a look at the new Chrysler Sebring grille. More pics in my gallery under 2007 Detroit Auto Show.

Ummm LOL its almost the same mesh! It just doesn't have the rib. sigh. No way that looks better to me, it looks like something you'd buy at NOPI.

edit: Exactly Tino, its hilarious! So many people just hating and hating. I don't get it. Humans.

My friend I don't think alot of people are hating, they just have a different opinion on a very subjective thing. Tino, I think your mesh is absolutely perfect. I must say, Chrysler nailed the exact grill that I want for myself, but, oh well. I can't wait to see the CTD Germany grill surround painted, it will make up my mind whether I want to purchase your grill or not.

for having different opinions than you? a lot of us wanted a grill that looks a lot like the sebring grille. Chrome surround with mesh insert. Some like the extra fiberglass and center bar. others like myself don't. It really makes it obvious that this is an aftermarket grille. If a manufacturer were to have a mesh grille they certainly wouldn't have an extra piece of fiberglass around the outside. Too much extra manufacturing cost. They would have made it like DC did on the sebring. trim it out with chrome (plastic). And DC certainly wouldn't have put the pontiac rib down the center.

sure, that the sebring don't have the center rib, because the sebring design don't have a line from the windshield to the bottom of the front bumper.

also, please remember, that we are not DC...

The new grill on the Sebring looks sharp, but frankly, now that it's on the Sebring, I'm not sure I would want the same one on my Crossfire. My .02.
You are right Tino. You're not DC, and our expectations shouldn't be as such. It's impossible to satisfy us all. You finish your project, place a picture of the finish/painted product (it's all in the presentation). Those who like it, will buy it, and those who don't won't.

I have to agree with you there, the mesh grill has been done so many times already on many other DC cars, the aftermarket needs to come up with some new ideas, stop recycling this screen mesh, It's getting old and boring. The stock grill looks awesome on the crossfire and it will be hard to beat.

CTD no one is hating we're just being critical about our cars and don't want to see someone driving around on the street with a goofy looking fiberglass grill. It's bad enough people are installing Lambo door kits and neon lights on XF's, let's not cheapen the looks any more. IMO fiberglass doesn't belong on a grill. I appreciate the effort your making but Try again CTD!
