Uhhh, I like that all black Crossfire! Where did you find this picture? The grille just needs to be made from the proper mesh and it has to be properly recessed like Tino's grille! I'm going to try for that look without a rib in the center. Nice job Tino in finally making a grille that is "real!" How did you make the junk behind the grille invisible? Cheers

To CTG-germany...hey after you complete this grill, do you think there is anychance that you guys at CTG could start working on a Shift gate plate for the 6 speed cars? I really like the looks of the shift gate which I've seen on the Ferrari's, it would be nice to upgrade the OEM shift **** too, that thing is always a loose fit. Just an idea... I guess I could always machine my own shift gate from a stainless plate.
Something like this but incorporate it into the entire center panel...

Wow, thank-you Tino for taking the time to do that for me. I truly appreciate it. Maybe the car does look plain but for some reason I like it even more without the rib. But, you still have to paint your piece and maybe then I will like the rib in the middle. For now though I still like the look of nothing in the middle. I like how you were able to finish the top of your grille with that simple straight bar. Very clever indeed.

Still, it would be a great "aftermarket" part for those of you who are into such things.

Actually the reverse detent isn't moved that far over from 2nd, it's pretty much parallel to 2nd gear but moved about a 1/2" offset. I didn't care too much for that shift gate, it's an aftermarket piece for an MR2 kinda cheap looking IMO.

Not that making 6 spd Crossfire owners slow down while shifting is necessarily a bad thing, it may even cause some owners to experience fewer "gear shifts" from popping out. But beside the obvious "bling" factor to the already great looking interior, I think it would interfere with those of us who still enjoy an occasional "muscle car" style "speed" shift every now and then.

Totally off topic, but thanks for changing your "avatar", your old one really "creeped" me out.

After seeing the photoshop pics that is a pretty awesome execution on a grill assembly. will that shifter thingy fit my auto stick?

I like the "plain" look without the rib. Very classy look. With the rib it looks a little too Pontiac GTO for my taste. I know the rib is there for support, but is it possible to move it behind the mesh?
Re: CTD-Germany Custom Front Grill Group Buy
Mr. Guettler, I think the grille, with or without the rib, looks terrific. Although I do favor the photoshopped version without the center rib over the ribbed prototype, I won't pass judgment til I see the finished results - complete with matching paint.
Either way, you have yourself one more customer. Thanks for your continued support of the Crossfire.

I like the rib, goes with the center line. LOL you could make both versions and I could change when I want. Haha.
but seriously it looks way to empty without the rib. Remember if you're not going to have the rib the mesh must contour to the curvature of the bumper. This is not likely. Or it must be completely flat, this would look like ***. The rib not only follows the cars line but also breaks the "flatness" of the mesh. I like center rib version much more
I think your grill will make my crossfire very unique.

Is it possible to have a photo of the car with the grille at about 4 meters away, might help the perspective a little better. It still looks awesome and I think the mesh (grill work) is perfect. Merry Christmas!
