God I love this car!
God I love this car!
Ok I admit I'm honeymooning...
And this is the nicest car I have ever owned. By that I mean, best built, most features, nicest design, coolest looking, best handling... etc.
But I can't wait to get into it. And currently I'm driving like your grandmother on morphine.. slow and low. And I still love every minute of it.
Am I an idiot or does everyone go through this phase?

I drive my Crossfire like the world is going to end tomorrow, the day I drove it off the lot
(150 miles on it) I was pushing 130 mph, I just can't stay off the gas, the sound the feel
and the tunnel vision while operating this machine... like I stated in the video "Even
when it's sitting still" "It's still moving at 150 miles per hour", the feelings I have about
my Crossfire is what I reflected in those few words... hooah

Re: God I love this car!
I look at mine and it makes me happy. I am 45 and it is my first new car. I am separated 3 years give the "ex" all I have - for my kids. It was my 14 year old son who convinced me to buy it. My brother is a GM of a Chrysler dealership and after all the discounts I was still feeling guilty but finally said screw it.
My son calls it the "pimpsy" because he says it's pimpin. I feel good just knowing it's mine. Best move I ever made. I can't explain it, I just love the car.

Re: God I love this car!
This Car was and IS one of the best buy's i ever made..and to think i was considering getting a boat instead...i can always get one of those later...but for now i LOVE cruising the streets and hugging the curves of the wide open road with even just me and my baby (XF)! I find my self just staring at it for Minutes at a time...i even find my self at work; walking all the way to the other side of the building just to peep out the window and stare at my pride and joy!
Man...YOU GOTTA LOVE IT!

I'm in! According to the latest news, this has become a niche area for
lawyers and they seem to have a high success rate. So much so that
at least one area's courts have changed the rules on what is allowable
as a maneuver to get out of a ticket. The lawyer being interviewed as
part of this article stated they had a flat fee of $350 dollars. Though
a ticket may only cost you $100, the hit to your license could cause an
increase in insurance payments or loss of insurance. So, a 3.5x upfront
cost can really save a lot on the backend.
BTW, neither am I immune to the siren song of a roaring engine. I have
been known, and will probably be again, to put my foot to the floor and
not lift off until either the other guy has or he is long behind me. This
has taken me up to 145 mph. I've not yet pushed it to the limit yet, but
13 mph off ain't too bad.

I can't relate at all to the rest of your post. I haven't reached the grandmother stage yet...this car just wants to go. I struggle to keep within the speed limit. If I just start out and drive, without eyeballing the speedometer, the car will get up to 80 or so (okay 85) before it feels that it is cruising. My 300M feels "settled" at 70. And my wife's Sebring convertible prefers 60. When I got my first speeding ticket in decades I was rolling at 69 in a 55, and it felt like I was holding her back. I can't wait to hit a safe space to run her up way over 100 MPH.
Re: God I love this car!
Proud owner for 4 weeks now, just over 1,100 miles on it ... and I too am enjoying my XF immensely. I often volunteer to go to the store for odds and ends just to drive it. It is my daily driver and the solid feel I have behind the wheel out surpasses any other vehicle I've driven before. I use to have a 1966 MGB with wire spoke rims with the spinner knockoffs and removable hardtop, that thing got heads turning but man oh man do the heads turn when I pull out in my XF. I'm not too far from 3 racetracks here in town and I've seen Ferraris, Lambos, Lotus' , Porches etc but have only seen one other XF on the road.
Enjoy it ... it's worth it.

Re: God I love this car!
Everything everyone said is all true, you've gotta love this car! When I walk out of work for a quick smoke and take a quick look at the Crossfire to brighten my night up just alittle and see the customers that I just waited on drooling allover my car. It just makes my chuckle.
