I gave up on Ebay. Yeah they are cute little things but my cigar store sold me a travel humidor that looks like a little Pelican case for $25. Not pretty but it keeps them good for over a week.

Default Re: Crossfire Cigar humidor Question???

I have a humidor, it was a gift from my wife. The lighter (Prometheus) and cutter (Xikar) are first rate. The only issue I am having is with the humidification material that you wet with solution.
I had to take the two magnets out of the material as it is falling apart.
Does anyone have any suggestions for replacing the green material?

Thanks,
Red

get one of those tubs filled with that gel that holds water, from any good cigar shop. buy a glass tubed cigar (with a plastic cap) this means it will probably be a crappy cigar. fill the tube with the gel stuff. drill several holes in the center top not to close to the edges. put a piece of sponge in the end so the gel wont leak out while on its side, works great. refill with water as needed. distilled water only or you might get mold in the jell.

Those are getting harder to find. I think having one would be neat. How many here have them (and use them)?

Had 3, sold one to a Forum member, keep one in the car and one in my office. Keep checking Ebay, they show up from time to time.

Congratulations, please post some pics when you get it, I have heard many things, but never seen the product. Is it the one with the lighter and cutter as well??

Thanks.

Thats hilarious Jim, if you have any pics I would be interest to see it....

I am not much of a cigar smoker, but wouldn't mind one of these, I have heard they are quite good looking.

About Crossfire humidors ... it's tough to set up search parameters since one of the popular cigar lighters is called "Crossfire".

And anybody who's bidding on popular items should use a bid monitor ... there's a page full of them here ... any of them should do.
