Default Steering Wheel Hub

Anyone run across a steering wheel hub adapter for a quick release that will fit this car ? I have not found one online yet... Typical lack of after market parts... Every corner presents a new problem...

NOPE; i tired this when i first got my car; wanted a MOMO wheel... there's a MOMO hub adapter (6004, IIRC) that fits the spline, but it needs to be modified to screw on, and you'll lose the steering wheel angle sensor (trips the ESP/BAS light) and the air bag functionality (trips the airbag light). try a search for 'MOMO' or 'steering wheel' because i know i wrote more details when i was trying it, but cant remember them now -- sorry!

do you want to replace the wheel or just add a quick release to the existing wheel?

here's the quick release hub i bought (and eventually sold on ebay):
http://www.getnrg.com/ (i had the first generation; was the only one available back then).

good luck

I'm not worried about tripping lights, the car is track use only now. Did the hub you bought fit the spline and have the center thread attachment ? Or was it going to need machining to make it work ?

it fit over the spline nicely, but in order for the nut to secure it, you have to remove the clock spring IIRC and i definitely had to chop up the hub a little. i know i have some pics on my home PC... i'll post some later on --

No problem with the clock spring or any of the other components from the OEM... the entire turn signal, washer, cruise control section has been removed.
