This employee lease offer just started April 1st, so no one has waited a year for their car.
People who ordered pre-built cars with this offer should see there cars within a month I hope.

I'm sorry, I misread your original post; I thought you said you ordered a Crossfire a year ago!!! But it was really that the actual car has just been sitting around for a year.
I expect to get my Crossfire within the month. Can't wait.
Thanks,

Since this is the first I've heard of this, I'm going to ask what is probably a stupid question: One actually has to work for Chrysler itself to get this deal, correct?
I ask because I am eligible for a "DC Rewards" discount through my company, but I don't actually work for Chrysler.
Thanks in advance.

This offer is for a corporate lease through "Company Car", a division of DCx.

Hopefully the wait won't be too much longer.

Not sure what the hold up is. Though I know a friend that got his SRT6 last week and also ordered his on the 1st.

do you live in michigan?. i do and i have to pick in up from the marsling center off lapeer road when they call and tell me when its ready. its only like 20 mins from my house so good. or are they shipping it to you?

i think w/the headquarters here there's just so many crossfire's coming through lapeer it's just a ton of traffic. i don't think it will be quicker in michigan, maybe slower b/c there's so many more. around here i see a few each day, other parts of the nation you can go weeks w/o even seeing one.

They are all coming from the port in Baltimore, MD. The cars were fully built in Germany and shipped to the port at Baltimore and have not moved since. Typically the leasing system has you choose a local dealer before you even order the car and it would be shipped to them. You can then watch in the company car systems for when it shows as delivered to the dealer you chose and then you call the dealer about picking up and hope all the papers are there as well since they don't arrive with the car.
I work at an office for DCX Financial in PA and there are already a good number of all model Crossfire's in our lot for over a week now. The problem we are having is that the cars are sitting in local dealer lots and are waiting for the Certificate of Origin from home office so the dealer can get the title work done. No less than 1/3 of all the people I know at work got a Crossfire and either have theirs or are waiting on paperwork to pick theirs up.
The deal is for employees only and is basically to clear out inventory that has sat at port a year or more. Insurance and maintenance are covered in the monthly cost but tires are not (for those planning on doing burnouts with their SRT's).
Sometimes the issue on delays for some cars is based on where the car is parked. They cram them into the storage lots and some cars will arrive sooner than others, possibly due to being parked in a more accessible location. Imagine 5,000 of the same model car sitting in one huge lot and people who have to check the VIN's to find the one you ordered and get it onto a shipment heading your way. Takes time.

So I sit and wait...
Re: Any Chrysler employees order a Crossfire recently through their special deal?
It takes about 5 days for them to process your dad's paperwork to get him into the system to lease any cars. He would then go into the system and pick the exact unit he is looking for. I checked just now and saw 322 still in the system of varying models and colors so you have time. Your dad can always call the company car program if its been over 5 business days... any less time and you'll need to hold on a little longer. They screwed my paperwork up where I got the email that I was in the system on 4/4 and went on vacation and when I got back 4/18 I still could not access the ordering system. One quick call and I was in instantly.
