why would i post something that's bs? to try and make other people think i'm cool or something because my parents have a car? it's no bs, it's just another crossfire. i just don't feel safe posting a vin. i don't think anybody could do anything with it, but i'm not really one to know. hopefully these pics from last fall will be proof enough (not that there's really anything to prove).

i think it's kinda funny the whole time i'm trying to figure out what a special edition was and find pictures, my parents had one in the garage, lol. i guess they didn't make it special enough.

Nobody doubts that you have a "special edition" XF. The reason for asking for your VIN - or at least the numbers between the X's is to see if it is actually registered as a 2006 or 2005 XF per Chrysler.

The year model is the info that we are asking about.

did chrysler originally design this car as an '06 (according to supportive docs)... then change their mind and sell it as an '05?

anything chrysler does with the crossfire... wouldn't surprise me at this point.

yeah i must say i'm pretty darn confused myself. i thought it was an '06 but maybe not.

edit: i just went and checked the sheet with all the information (don't know what it's called), and it says it's a 2005 model. also says special edition group. apparently they started selling them early or something.

The car was available in February of '05 as the "Spring Edition" roadster. I saw one at the dealer in June of last year. The only thing new about it for '06 is apparently they are calling it a "Special Edition" instead of "Spring Edition".

I do not see anything really special about it myself. Looks kind of cheap.

i don't see how you say it looks cheap, because it looks like any other crossfire.

however i agree that it's nothing special, just a combination of parts from different versions. i do love the srt wheels though.

I thought it looked a little cheap with the black fog light plugs against the red bumpers. Putting in fog lights or painting the plugs body color would go a long way in making it look better in my opinion.
