Default 2005 Crossfire SRT6 roadster for sale

I have for sale my beautiful SRT6 that we purchased new, the car has just over 19,000 miles and in excellent original stock condition. It has always been kept in heated garage and not driven in the winter. Color is Sapphire Silver blue metallic, convertible top has no window issue as car never sat outside, we just don't use it enough to justify ownership. 22,000.00 and located in southern Michigan 419-351-9898.

I agree it's high, but more in the 16-18 range. Find me some for 12k with one owner and low miles and i'll buy them all.

Agreed, a $12k with low mileage is a rare find. I think some folks who aren't on this forum regularly or don't follow the sales on ebay or other sources trade in for lower than they could have received and in turn larger dealers are just looking to move them at a price closer to KBB.

Yep, asking prices are all over the place on these. Market is the final judge. I have less then 15k miles on mine. I'd love to see them go high. Hopefully they will eventually achieve collector value. So few made, and so awesome of a car.

In my opinion, Huxbar's asking price is more in line with the value of his car maybe a little high maybe not to me you have a stupid car dealer who doesn't know the real value of what he is selling and just wants to get it off his lot maybe not stupid but certainly
un-informed and somebody got a great deal assuming the car is as advertised I have the very same car 2005 SRT roadster with less than 6000 miles but I wouldn't sale it for Huxbar's price I feel my fellow Georgian is way off base indicating the $12,500 is where the market
should be

I'm of the opinion that the market value should be determined by what a dealer will take as a trade in. While I do appreciate that private party sales are asking more....it appears the best deals are from larger new car dealers who have taken it in as a trade and will pass the savings to the buyer in a reasonable markup. Personally I wouldn't pay more than my credit union would assess as the value for financing or replacement insurance value.

Additionally, two other forum members recently advertised/sold their SRT roadsters ~50k miles for less than $9,000 to other forum members.

My dad used to say: "KBB is a printer/publisher that prints a book". He never took much stock in what their published pricing displayed.

totally true. kbb is obsolete. every seller thinks theirs is worth more, every buyer thinks less. somewhere in between lies the truth. putting out low sales #s is misleading. plenty have sold in the teens also. I'll bet a case of beer on over 16.....

What sources do auto dealers use to value trades? I thought it was NADA, KBB, etc.. Personally, I would only pay $500-1000 above what a dealer would pay as trade.

Dealers determine trade values based on auction sales numbers.

Personally . . . I don't feel it appropriate that someone comes to the forum and offers their Crossfire "for sale" only to have forum members (who have absolutely no intention of buying the car) high jack the thread to criticize the seller's asking price. If you're not a potential buyer . . . just move along and read another post on the forum . . . Just sayin' . . .

Agreed. Seems like we always hear about a $9,000 SRT roadster after the sale.

I have seen some coupes there but never a ragtop. Frankly, there's more to depreciation value than mileage. The one I just bought has 75K on the clock and was virtually flawless. I have put a thousand on it so far. Mechanically runs as new.

BTW;When I was with Enterprise Leasing, industry wide, trade in was pegged at 67% of retail. Frankly, with these cars KBB is kind of worthless. There just aren't enough of them to put a commodity value on their worth. For pricing, it comes down to condition and desire.

Agreed.

Although some sellers could use a little advice, insults and criticism are not warranted.

Crossfire owners are our own worst enemy. We give these cars away and wonder why the values are what they are. You will not see other low production vehicle owners crap on each other's for sale threads. These low mileage cars should be worth $20-25K all day, but we keep giving them away and telling each other our cars aren't worth anything. We need to start thinking like Toyota Supra owners...and force these values up.

Such a shame people...
