2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
Hey Guys!
I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I have my 2005 crossfire SRT-6 with a little less than 13,000 miles on it up for sale. Stock other than a tune as this car was imported into Canada from Seattle. Black on grey (black?) coupe. High end JL Audio / premier system. Brand new bridgestone potenza rears and oil change yesterday (just took the car off jacks yesterday). Car is in excellent condition and is near mint! I bought the car from Calgary Alberta last year and it passed the Saskatchewan safety with flying colours with only windshield wipers and hydrolic hood hoist needing to be replaced. The car is beautiful and straight as an arrow. The only reason I'm selling is because I have a kid on the way and there's not much room for a car seat...
The car has been meticulously maintained with oil changes preformed every year regardless of miles, always stored in a heated garage, never winter driven (hardly summer driven at all!). The intercooler pump was upgraded to the 55 AMG cooler as well - before I had the car. All records of the car are in possession.
I'm not really sure what the car is worth, as there really are not comparibles around Sasktchewan with such low mileage. I saw on a previous forum
that I should be asking around $19,000?
I can send pictures or whatever information you'd like...
The car is located in White City, Saskatchewan Canada.

I have been following the Crossfire market for the better part of 11 years. I bought my first SRT6 in 2007 and have just recently purchased another just a couple weeks ago.
One thing about these cars that has stayed consistent for all these years is that the closer they are to “showroom” stock, the more money they will bring. I tried to sell what I felt was an impeccably modified one back in 2010 and could not give it away until I returned it back to close to stock. There is also a perfect example of this being true with a nicely modified one being for sale down in Austin, Texas where the asking price ($14K) is less than what it would cost to purchase the mods if you got the car for FREE.
The point I am making here is that you have a great low mile car, but the stereo is probably hurting you. Although I know what a JL W7 sub and couple JL Amps cost, 98% of the Crossfire market is not into high end audio systems. I would recommend, because you asked, to remove the audio system in the hatch, remove the AMG badges off the side, and you should be able to get $17K for the car. By removing the audio system and selling it off piece by piece on eBay, you could make up close to $1500 and that would help offset the lower sales price.
Good luck!

I confused my threads and offer my apology for the rude comment.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
$18,000 US at today's rates equals $23,700 CDN. So in my opinion you would be priced right at $18,000 CDN. It's unlikely to find a US buyer and even more unlikely that you will find a CDN buyer thats willing to pay $23.7K. Good luck.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
If other mint, clear titled SRT6 with ultra low mileage cars are going for $18,000 US why would I price it any different? The car is an American car that was imported into Canada at 5000 miles. Re-importing it back into the US is a piece of cake as all duties have already been paid. So are you saying I should price it at $13,650 US just because the car is currently in Canada? I don't know if I agree with your logic...

Kurt, what I did is look at past auctions on Ebay and what they sold for (or not as the case may be).
Car Gurus is another good site to see what's for sale and how long.

However, selling to a US buyer would be great for you at todays exchange rate but no one will pay $23,700 in Canada. No Canadian in their right mind would import a $18,000 US car at today's exchange rates either. Do you see my logic?
