2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
I agree with you that it would be hard to find someone in Canada to purchase the car for that price in Canada, which is why I will try to sell the car in the US. If someone from the US ends up buying the car, then I guess being that the Canadian dollar is weak right now is in my favour. The fact that the US has 319 million people compared to 35.2 million in Canada is also in my favour (not to mention there are very few places in Canada where you could drive this car for more than 4 months of the year).

They may be 319 million people in the US and another 35.2 million in the US but there are less than one thousand SRT-6 roadsters, fewer in black (known to be the fastest color) and only a hand full in the entire world with as few miles as yours with fewer each day.
Broaden the comparison to other vehicles which were targeted at the same narrow part of the market produced during the same time period and you are cheap, as are all SRT-6s. The broader market needs educating on what SRT-6s are before the value will be more fully appreciated.
Forced distress sales of uncommon cars generate some low prices. The market was never broad. Unless you are in desperate straits or there are hidden problems with the history your selling points should be mileage, mileage, mileage, history, condition and rarity of that exceptional car not price.
In my humble opinion.

It is hard to find a comparable in your area to compare prices because it would be hard to find a comparable any where. Yours is a rare and valuable car more likely than most to appreciate.

Thanks. One of about 2,000 in the body style the designer intended, then.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
A couple things come to mind in response to that question.
1- I recall the day Krystal Hamburger went private and the stock I had purchased when it declared bankruptcy soared. What I was willing to pay for (the value I placed on) the 1991 Volvo Bertone Turbo Plus Coupe I was considering did likewise. It had nothing to do with the car.
2- I recall during the hunt for an SRT6. I found but two black roadsters in the country, mine and another with half the miles. Both were a good fit. However, the lower mileage one was located across the country from me. Given that I like to meet previous owners and do my own evaluation, the value of the far off car was diminished due only to its location. It had nothing to do with the car.
3- Given I do not have appropriate facilities for long term storage of all the cars I would like to own, I am not a buyer which frees me to price it higher than I might if that were not the case.
4- It would take someone awfully arrogant to presume they could price someone else's car without an in-depth knowledge of the particular car, being omniscient or having some sort of clairvoyant skills.
5-They are not making any more. They never made many. The miles are few. The care is evident. This has lots to do with the car.
6- Based on what I learned in high school statistics extrapolating numbers and making assumptions based on small bases often lacks validity. SRT-6s are not like Sentras. Edmunds, NADA, Blue Book, Black Book, auction statistics based on averages do not work as well.
7- I keep hearing "you get what you pay for". In keeping with that potential buyers should be offering a few bucks more if only to get a better car.
Big question. Lots to consider. Many answers but none from me on this one.
Good luck with the sale.

Re: 2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
Keep it at 18K. Low mileage, well cared for. It's worth every penny. They are starting to dry up as far as low mileage goes. Just be patient and keep posting it up on different car forums. I sure wouldn't take any less for my coupe. Good luck.
Re: 2005 SRT-6 For Sale! 13,000 miles.
In the past couple months while I was looking for another SRT6, I missed out on two different 11,000 mile SRT6 Coupes that were for sale in Texas. Both sold between $15-$16K in a matter of days. Both of these cars were being sold by little, non brand affilated dealers in small towns.

Yep. I think the prices are staying up a bit finally. I thought about selling mine awhile back. But, I just can't give them away with the way they are modded. So I will just keep them and play with them time to time...
