For those miles, it sure looks clean and the paint seems to be in better shape that one would expect.
Price seems a little high to me, but then again, you have done SO much to it that would co$t to deal with later on.

If it was the right color...

How much did the TPMS units cost - and did you replace all four?

Hi Mark,

FYI . . . I actually have a bit more than $12,500 invested into this SRT6 (not even counting any of my personal time and efforts). I consider this refurbishing to be a "hobby" and we're not really supposed to be trying to make a profit on a "hobby", right? It has been a learning and rewarding experience to "bring back" this SRT6 to its deserved glory. Someone will get a great car with many fun miles remaining to enjoy.

Regarding the TPMS units, from a recent link posted on this forum, I bought four new TPMS units here:

Amazon.com: Dorman OE Solutions 974-001 Chrysler Pacifica/Caliber/Compass Tire Pressure Monitor System Sensor: Automotive Amazon.com: Dorman OE Solutions 974-001 Chrysler Pacifica/Caliber/Compass Tire Pressure Monitor System Sensor: Automotive

I paid to have them installed and then went to get them programmed at the stealership. They cannot be programmed to the car (in spite of the web page confirming that these are the correct units, these TPMS units are NOT compatible with the Crossfire system).

Now I have to buy and install a more expensive set . . . Working on that now . . . ANOTHER learning experience . . .

I just today parked it outside our Luxury Limousine property with a For Sale sign at $14,900.00 or will consider reasonable offers. (My theory is that I can always come down to make a deal but once someone is interested I can't go up). Several callers and a couple of tire kickers already with two people seeming to be seriously interested. I'll report the results when a new owner takes it home.

My black "Rescue Roadster" is due to come out of the paint shop on Tuesday (a complete show quality repaint to the tune of $4800.00+ . . . ouch). It should only take me a few days to get it put back together but Cindy is already telling me that she wants to keep that one for herself. I have to admit it is turning out absolutely beautiful!

I'm already searching for my next SRT6 refurbishing project car.

When was the last time the transmission was serviced?
Is it up to date on all of its service?

Hi Thirteendog, Please review the list of what I have done to this car (in the first post) which included COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH. I have a transmission flush machine that changes out ALL the old fluid whereas dropping the pan only drains and changes out about 1/3 of the old fluid.

So you didn't drop the pan and change the filter? My question was asking for a time frame or mileage at which you changed the filter and the fluid. Btw you can get the fluid out of the torque converter and much more than 1/3rd of the fluid through the pan. I know... I've done it.

Hi Nick, Yes . . . after doing the flush I dropped the pan and put in a new genuine Mercedes filter and and new pan gasket. So the transmission was completely serviced about two weeks ago. I'll edit my original post to make that clearer. How can you get the old fluid out of the torque converter by dropping the pan?

Is it fall yet?? I can't wait for this fall's TOD. My #1 SRT6 is like handling a spirited stallion . . . hard to hold it back . . . just wants to GO. Everything is done (except for having the WaveTrac installed and maybe buying and installing the Ground Control suspension system).

There is a drain plug on the torque converter. Mercedes does not recommend using a Flush machine.

Some say there is one and some say not. So maybe some do (SRTs?) and some don't. Still confused.
