I normally cruize back mid-afternoon on Saturday...but this year I will "Cruize in the Dark".
Besides I need to support all the hard work you have done organizing the GTG.
Andrew, I'd love to make the FRIDAY GTG but to drive 160+miles there on Friday...back 160+ miles home Friday night...then up at 3 AM to get the Southern Contingency 110 miles to VIPER Hookup at UBANA...then 50 miles to Carlisle...
I'd burn out this old body of mine!!!

 

I was not notified one way or the other. Guess it will be a surprise.
I DID ask for the same location but they have to manage 1,000's of cars...

ATTENTION VIRGINIANS AND MARYLANDERS!!! (others too).

As noted, for the last few years I have met with the VIPER Club and made my entrance with them at Carlisle. Last year Sennaspirit and TS04Crossfire joined the run also.

The Southern Maryland Contingent will depart the Hollywood Fire Department upper parking lot at 4:00 SHARP and travel up 235/5 to 495 (Outer Loop) to I-270 and on to Urbana.

We will meet at the Urbana Exit #26, off I-270 (South of Frederick, MD) @ 5:30 AM on Saturday (7th) at the Waffle House (which is left at the light at the exit) and have a QUICK Breakfast. There is a 7/11 and gas there also.

We will depart @ 6:15 and cruise in and arrive in style @ 7:45!!

Don't worry...we can "Hang" to 155 MPH...then it's all over...
Actually I don't think we really got over 85 MPH, either of the first two years. Last year I think we broke "Three Digits" once.
But, it's more than words can describe.

Anyone desiring to join, Let me know OR JUST SHOW UP!!!

I've been to these shows before and I know just how congested the traffic can be, especially on Saturday. Even the PA turnpike typically backs up at the Carlisle exit for miles. I plan on leaving early from my location (Valley Forge, PA). I'm hoping to be on the road by 5 or 6 AM at the latest. Even so, I still expect the traffic to be very heavy at the event. Gates open at 7 AM so if you can, arrive as early as possible! See everyone there!

this is where i am staying again this coming july... (close, clean & new)... this would be a great hotel for all crossfires to unite the friday evening before the next days show!

+fireamx (mike) & also stayed at this hotel last july for the show... and great .25 car wash near by for pre-show touch ups.

 

O.K. Tomorrow is the 4th and Thursday we are going to get rain, so i just spent 7 hrs of detailing my Crossfire, put my car cover on and put the car away, looking good. Can't wait till Friday.

 

Think positive (for us)...All the rain was used up already ...BUT else where (sadly for them)...

 

I sent this off to Carlisle a few days ago...but have received no answer yet!!!

I have registered my car, reserved a tent and our club members have registered, as well for the Chrysler Nationals this coming weekend.
Our Club is XFi - Crossfire International.
My question is ... Will we be located in the same area as last year?
I did request that area when I reserved the tent.
Since we are less than a week away from the show, I would like to know our area so that I may notify our group for a better organized entrance and to ensure we manage the space provided.
