I am located In Montreal Quebec Need winter tires ?
Question, a friend of mine told me, I can buy a set of Four 18" steel rims and thrown the current 18" winter tires I have from my previous vehicle on them. I purchased these winter tires last year and would be the correct size, if this can work what offset, etc would the steel rims have to be...
I don't have the extra money to get a set of four 18" nice winter rims/mags and I would rather Not drive my stock 18"/19" rims through winter, so 18" steel rims would work the best for me... I know they will look bad... but best I can do!.
Need advise!
Thanks.

When I bought my Crossfire in Aug '06, I've included a condition in my contract to get 4 wheels and 4 good winter tires to close the sale.
I looked all over by myself during the next 5 days but found no wheels for the Crossfire.
Fortunately, the salesman had a good contact that found 4 super nice mag wheels of 18" with Hankook High Performance winter tires for $1400 can.
The name of the wheel store is Performance 5 étoiles, at Terrebonne. You can call Serge at 514-809-2246. This is not cheap, but $1400 for 4 very very nice mag wheels and 4 good winter tiers is not that much to drive your car in any situation in Quebec.
Steve.

My XF performs very well in snow, you just have to get the best snowtires you can and wash it every week to get sand and salt off (especially underneath). If you will please do a search you will find a lot of information posted form around N. America.

for the price of winter tires maybe you should buy a cheap car to pass the winter and keep your crossfire in storage your crossfire is to nice to drive in winterthe salt will damage your car you can get a good winter car with winter tires for about the same price as buying brand new tires
Re: I am located In Montreal Quebec Need winter tires ?
Yep...No way should you hurt that car with the salt and dangerous driving conditions in the winter...both here in Ottawa and in Montreal!
You don't have to get a clunker for the winter but you shouldn't expose a beautiful crossfire to the road conditions around here during the winter!
We just bought a 2009 Jeep Compass that we will use for the winter or when I need to have 3 people in the car at once...(my mother lives with us, ... and she refuses to get in the trunk!). So for the winter...when it gets here.... the Crossfire goes to bed ..safe and sound!
