Where did you put the XFi decal?
Where did you put the XFi decal?
Having a Roadster, the back window isn't visible all the time. Most of the time I have the car out, the top is down and then it can't be seen. If you have the decal on your car, does it stay on the window well, even after many washings?
If so, do you think it would stay on the paint just on the body somewhere? Having the Alabaster, I was thinking it would show up better on the paint somewhere, but only if it lasts. We have similar decals on the race cars and I just wax over them, but those cars don't get washed with soap and water.
My car probably won't be coming out much now that winter is here.
If you DO have the decal on your car, please post a picture!

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
I have had mine on the rear window centered at the bottom since I started the Organization months ago and REDCROSS has been washed a LOT of times. I have NOT had any problems at all.
I am careful, but not over protective, when I do wash.
I am not aware of anyone coming up with a placement solution for the Roadster yet!
BUT, I keep waiting for that solution to surface.

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
Sorry, no idea for roadster. As I have a coupe it's doing fine on the rear window above the brake light. But after 2 or 3 washes one end started to peel off. It's 1-2mm of the upper right end of the X. I'll try to cut it off to prevent progression. If it gets worse I might order a new decal because I like the sign very much and don't want to miss it.
MI Roadster, sorry for not being a help. I looked at your back (of the car ;-) in the gallery and didn't find an appropriate place to put the decal. On the bumper it would destruct the beautiful clear appearance.

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
I stuck mine on the driver side of the rear window. The view there is already blocked by the roll loops behind the seats. I'm picky and usually go for symmetry, so I'm not sure I like it there yet, but putting it in the middle literally blocks alot of what little rear view I have.
Heheh, we may need a smaller roadster tailored logo...

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
Still have NOT come up with a GREAT suggestion...................................
BUT, there was mention of having a smaller version made for the smaller Roadster rear window.....................................
SO, I just ordered a new batch of Decals and I requested a version 50% the size of the one we have been using, as well as the regular size.
Those of you existing members desiring the smaller version let me know and I will post the cost as soon as I know.
And ALL NEW members will have a choice of which size is desired.
As soon as I get them I will put one on my window and take a pic for all to see.
PROBLEM STILL IS:
Decal is a bit large for rear window of Roadster............................
Even with smaller decal, it will not be visible when top is down.........................
If placed (???) with top down then it will be hidden when top is up........................
No one really wants the decal on body paint (me either).....................
MAYBE.........................................
LOWER LEFT (or right) corner of Windshield!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
I have come up with a "POSSIBLE" placement for the Roadster...................................
The "NEW" smaller size logos should be in my hands by this weekend.
My fabricator ran out of the material that is used for durability and had to place a special order.
Stay Tuned............................................. ...............................

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
As mentioned I had some XFI Logos made at 50% reduction (see pic #1)
The "BEST" place I can come up with is to place the "Smaller" version (or Larger, if desired) centered on the Tonneau Cover. It is visible with top down and ALSO visible when the top is up.
Comments????????????????????

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
I'm not big on stickers on my cars, but I did want to put the XFI on so I've put it under Wing (above wing motor housing), so it will be seen while driving with the wing up.
One suggestion would be a discrete window sticker that would adhere to the inside of the window, since I'll prefer to put it on the small window, behind the driver's seat.
An outline of the XFi logo is what I was "thinking of"...just a thought to share.

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
I agree..................and I am not one for stickers either but what can we do to identify ourselves??
The idea of a sticker mounted inside the glass has been discussed and the problem there is for those with tinted windows it wouldn't show through.
The windshield.......... in different places was discussed but with specific placement of State Registration and Military Post Registrations and State Inspections and access to gated housing communities and Parking stickers, etc etc................forget that window!!
If you go to the initial XFI site you can see we hashed (discussed not smoked) over numerous ideas until the majority approved what is in today.
I am ALWAYS open for a suggestion.

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
its hard to improve on perfection I spent a lot of time taping it everywhere I could think of on the car. could not find a spot. I know lets get andrew involved and add it to his option list. your XFI logo printed with his awsome emblems perhaps with an american flag background.
The emblem area is the only area I feel is worthy of any stickers on my ride. I would like to be able to change them seasonally, football season, ect.
btw love the grill

Re: Where did you put the XFi decal?
This is a possible spot on the Coupe ... I'm an engineer with an extensive background using CAD and doing graphics, so I too walked around the car eyeballin' different spots to put my XFi decal. The curve of the logo is really close to the curve of the black surround at the rear window, passenger side. I messed up a bit placing it and am afraid to move it. I wanted the bottom more level.
Perhaps the smaller decal that REDCROSS has would look better.
Here's a snapshot ...
