At the inaugural 'introduction' meeting at Woodward, I thought we adopted that motion to take Canadian$ at par.

I just sent FP and Ray an e-mail about this, they should answer soon.

I would like to save a buck or two, but I think that the $US 100 should be a standard , As we are projecting to be a "International Club" based in the US of A ,the US dollar should be the standard. Make an exception for the $Cad, and then $Aus, $NZ, Euro, Pound, and the rest will compound the problem, Dave

I know I haven't been around much of late, but one thing hasn't changed......... my love for this car and my enthusiasm about the new CICCI!

Count me in for a Charter Membership!!

And thanks to all those that worked so hard to make it happen.

(I noticed that the registration form lacks a field for our board screen name. Not important?)

The chater membership is $100 USD. I think every one would have loved the USD and CAD to stay at par, but alas the exchange rate has fluctuated.

For standardization of conversion lets use yahoo! finance; here is the link:

I mailed my check. I'm just curious, Shouldn't out forum log on I.D. (name) be included in the application process? That is actually how most of us know each other. How will we be registered? Will it only be by our proper names?

Log-on on will be your Member number, or part of it.

For familiarity purposes, you will be able to change your display name and passwords once registered.

I think he meant on the application where we collect the member's information. I would suggest you add your screen name next to your name.

Thanks

YAY!!! Check in the mail today.

Question though, Artwork for CICCI wise, I have the actual crossfire font if that is of interest and I can also make the decals and any other printed material if need be. PM for info.

Just glad this FINALLY came together. Thanks for everyone's hard work!

I just got e-mail back from FP and Ray who were at Woodward, they did not hear anything like that mentioned. And like Sandgrounder said this is an international club, if we do it for one we would need to do it for everyone else .

Possibly, I can refresh their memory, at least FP because I know he responded when I made the 'tongue in cheek' motion.

My comment about accepting CAN$ at par was made while sitting at the dinner table and near the end of FP's announcement that plans were underway regarding a completely new XFI club.

Anyways, my comment was said in the context of a bit of humor (with another Canadian sitting across the table from me---Lorne) and I understand why US$ would be the currency standard. Of course, when our dollar returns to the level it was a year ago, the club might wish to take it at par.

Good point. The app needs to be revised to include screen name. I've alreay mailed mine without the screen name.

Hey Mbepic. I remember you asking the question very clear"it may have been in jest??" But I can see the point of having one currency for every one. I like you did not know that our dollar was to fall. However the experts say we will be back up or maybe ahead of the U.S. dollar again before long. I mailed my money yesterday and bit the bullet on the exchange. Tomorrow every thing in the U.S. will be on a brighter light. New President new Vise President so every one will be happy again. Have a good day every one . " Fp you owe Roy and I a beer for going back on your word or else the swiming pool story at the Courtyard may resurface again". Lorne
