I am about to pull the trigger on a new head unit and stereo upgrade and after reading here for hours I decided to go with the marine Kenwood with Bluetooth so many here have bought. I found a pretty good price for the pieces. You can save a bit from Crutchfield if you don't mind ordering the pieces separate.

Travish, good investigative work on the Kenwood. I too found it less expensive elsewhere other then Crutchfield, but found Crutchfield lifetime tech support worth the extra $ that I paid. I have contacted them at least 3 times for support mostly because I forget functionality after the CF sits in the garage waiting for outside temps to rise. Also, there is some confusion regarding the antenna adapter for the install. Crutchfield stated that one type was required while Rudy Compart stated that a different adapter was required. Rudy did the install. Guess who was correct- Rudy! Crutchfield sent me 2 antenna adapters (only charged for one) after several conversations about which adapter was correct. I can't recall the details/difference of the 2 adapters, maybe one was a power adapter while the other was simply a conversion adapter, can't exactly recall. I guess you will find out soon enough. One thing I have found, every time service or mods are needed on my CF, much discussion occurs as to proper procedure. The forum is a tremendous resource for information! Rudy Compart is a tremendous resource for the forum as well as many very experienced CF owners. Enjoy the Kenwood!

I think the difference in the antennae adapter is if you have the nav unit or not. On the adapter I went with others here have used. Hope it's right. There are MANY threads here on the "correct" way to wire the system. I have a plan
