Default Need Desperate Help

Okay Fellow Forum Members:

I really need help with this. I am blind in one eye and I absolutely cannot see out of the right eye. It does not help the blind spots that exist in or cars to the point that I have tremendous difficulty seeing behind me in the cars. I have almost so many accidents trying to change from the left lane to the right lane.

I have decided to install a rear camera that shows the back of me at all times. I know how to do this with a double din system. But I prefer not to go that route as I added a Pioneer single din in the car six months ago. Can anyone recommend a mobile screen setup to run the rear camera. Maybe there is an LCD screen that can be attached to the inside mirror to run a rear view camera. Or are there applications to attach an lcd to the dash or to the windshield just like you do for a cellphone when you use GPS.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am in desperate need of a fix. Else I am facing an accident soon to happen

There are wifi cameras available for this that send the picture live to your Android cell.
Might be the easiest way - no wiring.

Having a stiff neck I rely totally on my mirrors and what can be seen in the front side windows. With the mirrors set up properly I can only see the side of the car by leaning my head left or right. In your situation I think all you would need is the same setup and those small convex mirrors attached to the inside bottom corners of the side mirrors.
It takes a while to get confidence in this setup but it is really quite safe.

That is what I did.

I installed one of these. The wifi transmitter is installed inside my hatch, getting power from one of the licens plate lights. Transmits to my phone and works great!

thanks so muck for the suggestion as that is the setup I am now running and to be honest it is the only thing that has allowed me to keep driving the car. But the convex little mirrors are quite useless at night, so I have found.

The cellphone suggestion is the least costly and complicated but given the severity of my situation (one-eye blindness) I had better install a dedicated rear view system. I have been doing homework and I agree with one of my fellow members that the wireless rearview system is the better route for me. However, the above displayed monitor is only 4 inches and is installed on the dash, inviting thievery. I was looking for a monitor that attaches to the stock mirror and attracts less attention. I just do not have the foggiest idea what is the best brand to go with

There are actual rear view mirror set ups with the monitor in them. More expensive though.

Not trying to be unsympathetic, but if there is a car beside you (or in your blind spot), you should certinaly be able to see the headlights in those mirrors, right? If a car is in the blind spot with as much as a flashlight, much less 2x 35W bulbs, it should illuminate the entire side of the car and certianly the mirrors...
