After talking with GDC-SRT, I did a little looking into how hard it would be to get these to read MP3's off a USB flash drive and the company I'm working with on the hardware says it isn't a problem. Obviously a little extra cost but those of you that have already sent payment and the next 5 that get their orders in will be getting this little bonus at no extra charge. The unfortunate part of this though is I'm not going to be offering different models of this so after the first 10, the price will be $219.99. The first 10 people will be getting these for pretty much $50 off so those sitting on the fence now have a serious incentive to not wait too much longer. Again, I'm not trying to rush anyone but I'm not starting on these until I have 10 people and I want to get these out to people before Christmas since I'm assuming that some of these may be presents for others and some maybe for themselves.

I don't know a thing about no fancy schmancy ipod. But if you can do this, can't you make a simple Aux in, mini pin or RCA jacks would even work, for us folks with Xm or Sirius radio? I would love to have my compass back.

If everything works out, this thing will control both an iPod/iPhone or a USB flash drive as well as have a 3.5mm stereo input. Sorry I left that part out earlier.

So yes, you can have your compass back and listen to your sirius. Just no controlling it through the headunit.

Ok, done being Ron Popiel.

You should not have any problem getting 10 people now.

I, the poorest guy here, am even thinking about joining the list now. (But I am too old for an iPod or i-anything.)

You know, I probably have as many miles on the CD player as on the car.
Something to think about - the CD player is mechanical - the iPod isn't.

I am leaning that way. (Toward the iPod, not any weird frog-hypno thing).

Rudy, like I said before; if it comes down to needing 1 more, let me know and I will buy one too.

Thanks for all your research work and leadership in bringing us products.

I'm honestly just gassed that in two months I couldn't line up 10 people for this thing. Even if I include FP, we're only at 8 so I guess long story short, the first week in January, I'll just buy what I need and get 10 of them, get the 7 guys that have paid for them their units and call it a day. I apologize to those that got in very early on but you can call it a late Christmas present since you are getting it at a heck of a price. Thanks again to those that have ordered and those on the fence, get in now because there is a very good chance these will be the only 10 ever available.
