iPod Control with Factory Nav Radio is Here!
Re: iPod Control with Factory Nav Radio is Here!
Hey Rudy, I just noticed a couple of options under "Options" button with your controller (I think it has something to do with ID3 tags). I have not tried to play with them (just notice them 30 minutes ago), but regardless, it is a feature that you have not mentioned before, to my knowledge.
I think you should explain it for everyone to see, even if it's not that important.
I love my controller, it works great. I got my own system dealing with 10 folders only, but it works.
The unit is responsive and fast and very well made - I like the metal casing, not some cheap plastic crap you would expect from Asian manufacturers.
I don't think anyone would get upset if you would post the list of all features again.

Ok this is probably a stupid question. I just bought a 2005 Limited. The picture looks like my stereo. I do have Nav, but I didn't think I had a CD changer. Or if I do, I have no clue where it is, LOL. I really want an aux port for my stereo. I don't use an iPod though, I use my android phone. Will this work with an android phone?

I am out of habit using Zune, Droid, etc and never get to i-phone (yet? ) But I could not have waited enough to buy this since I love the idea of using OEM unit to use USB sticks to play mp3.
Somebody asked on previous thread if the unit remembers last song played. The answer, on my install, is yes. Anytime I turn the system back on, it plays the last song/track when I turned it off. Also as I put the complete id tag on the mp3, and the OEM units scrolls the song title, artist name, etc, Pretty cool!
I numbered each song on the different folders to control the play list. I have now over 2000 favorite songs to play on different usb sticks. On most drive I never turn the music on, the SRT sound is music enough! But I am ready for 4 hrs trip to 2012 spring dragon!
Finally I am so un-mechanical and I did this install myself, by reading this thread, which is beyond words to describe. Indeed it validates what Rudy and others have said. It is so easy even I can do the install!

Re: iPod Control with Factory Nav Radio is Here!
Hi Rudy,
Just wondering if the 2 you've sold so far in this batch would cover your cost for making 4 or 5 and if maybe you could go ahead and make them and just keep the other 2 or 3 "in stock" for later orders? I know it's probably not economical or you to just make 2 at a time, and if it doesn't cover enough cost to do 4 or 5, I understand - it's just that the more time goes by since purchasing, the more I miss having something to show for it.

Moral of the story, if you want one of these, you have till May 19th.
Take care
