Default Radio shuts off

I was messing with my radio while sitting parked in my crossfire. Now I can't get the radio to go on when I start the car and off when I shut it off and open the door. I actually read the manual (surprisingly enough) and there was no mention of how to correct this problem. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Need a little clarification. You are saying it won't go on...and it won't go off, does that mean it is dead?

On the NAV radio, it stays on for about 5 seconds after you remove the ignition key. If you press the radio's on/off button before it goes off, it will continue to play.

Even with the ignition key removed my radio will come on and run for 1 hour then shut off (to save the battery presumably). If you press the on button again it will play for another hour (or until the battery goes dead) LOL

Opening and closing the door has no affect on mine.

No, it is not dead. I can turn the radio on and off manually but when I first bought the car it would turn on and off with the car but now it doesn't do that.

The radio has two power inputs one switched and one hot at all times. The switched one might not be there. Check the fuse.
