.

Make sure you track it and insure for a replacement value including the return back to you (if it is the only one and it gets lost you'll be screwed for the whole FOB)...

Find a good local locksmith, the key will not leave your sight.
Support the local economy.

I am just saying do not send things when they could get lost easily when down the road is safer.
Cutting these keys issues piece of cake.
Getting an answer on Facebook does us no good.
Facebook is killing this forum.

I don't agree. I think by now anyone with a wit of intelligence looks here for answers, Facebook is infested with kooks giving bad advise.

We have our own kooks here, I have given up answering stupid questions, we now have some answering with direct quotes from the Service Manual, how dumb is that? Let the person download the manual and he can get his answers without asking again. We have people putting photos in their posts that they never took and give no credit to the person who originally took the photo.

I was offered a part for just the cost of postage, very nice of them I thought, then it suddenly had a price of about the cost of postage. OK, I said, they said the would put it back together and ship it. I opened it up when I got it to look at the parts inside and there were wires soldered to the board, how you can have it apart and not see the wires is beyond me. I was told they had not seen them, they said it worked but the driver temperature **** did not work. The truth comes out at last, it’s a piece of crap, maybe they can quote the Service Manual on how to fix it.🙄
I got my money back less postage. I experimented with it and the ***** can be kept as spares, the rest is junk.
I will not give a name bit if I see this person selling something on here and someone expresses interest they will get a warning PM from me. I have sent such PMs before. Fool me once OK, fool me twice then I deserve it.

Time for a contest, PM me with your guess who it is. The first person with the correct answer wins nothing but get their name announced here if they want.
The first person with the wrong answer can have the useless piece of gear - less *****, for the price of postage.🤪 No name announced.

We have a winner who wishes to be anonymous.👏
The contest is closed and the part goes into the metal bin at the recycling centre.

Again, agreed. There is plenty of ignorant and bad technical advice on Facebook. Unfortunately, we are headed the same direction here, Dave.
