SRT Covert. spoiler installed on limited coupe
Today I installed an SRT-6 spoiler onto my 2004 limited coupe Xfire. I payed $40 for the spoiler from a SRT convertible that was being parted out. In saying so, the approach angle for the wing is slightly different than those made for the coupe. I had fabricated two mounts for the spoiler out of delrin plastic using a mill at my dads shop. Don't be fooled by the photos, after installation I deactivated the pop up spoiler. If you don't like the srt wing on a limited coupe I got news for you, I don't care. I have read post about people adding the SRT spoiler while the comments consist of OEM Soy Boys. Feel free to ask any questions, installation took about a day.

Maybe you can adjust the "delrin plastic" mounts you made to give the SRT wing the proper angle. On an SRT the back of the wing is a bit higher than the front. From the picture it looks like your install is just the opposite. Car looks nice. Enjoy the ride.

Since it is a convertible SRT spoiler the angle for the mounts are different than the coupe, I used the delrin "spacers" to correct the angle and provide better strength by having 3 bolts (on each side 6 in total) that mount into the body to the spacer and two separate bolts (4 in total) that mount the delrin onto the wing

I removed the fuse #20 in the engine compartment so the pop up spoiler is deactivated and will not go up in any circumstance.

I did consider giving the spoiler more of a rake, but after test fitting the spoiler I had liked the flat look better than it being raked from front to rear.

I also think the angle you chose looks good. I have a 2005 limited NA with the pop up. I am getting a parts car with the fixed spoiler. I was considering swapping the fixed spoiler on to this instead of leaving the pop up. I could swap out the whole lift hatch but, if you are able to reproduce a second set of mounts with this same angle would you be willing to sell a pair?

Great work, and not raining on your accomplishment by any means but the guys are right about the weakness of the roadster spoilers. You’ll see a slew of pictures, posts and questions on here and Facebook about it. Hoping it doesn’t happen to you because it’s quite the undertaking of fixing it. You might be able to swap someone yours for a coupe SRT6 spoiler as the roadsters spoiler are more rare and yours isn’t damaged either.

I must say I thought someone was doing an SRT-6 from a limited, only to see it is just a spoiler poser. The post misleads for sure. Looks good if the spoiler (original) doesn't activate on the road (I see you pulled the fuse) but again, where is the 'covert' SRT? Am I seeing cracks on both pillars? About midway along the base almost straight up to about half of the @ 45 degree face of the pillars Might be a smudge of something, if so it is on both pillars. Good luck with your MOD!

The spoiler is stable, no cracks. Convert. as in convertible spoiler that can be seen on the original post.
