Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
Keys used to take 1-3 days to arrive to us once ordered, occasionally up to 4-5 days but that was very uncommon. as of a few weeks ago, Chrysler has changedtheir vin encoded parts ordering system and it has broughtour key receiving to a crawl. At thispoint I have over 20 keys on order that all are late to arrive here. We have been on the phone with Chrysler everyday for the past 2 weeks over this trying to get these here. The latest from them (this morning) is thatthey will be here this week. we are atthe top of the list nationwide to get keys and this has our full attention andwill get these out the moment they arrive here with tracking towards everyone.
Mercedes has changed their key ordering system several months ago to now state that the actual car HAS to be at the dealership at the time of the key arriving and that you must pay Mercedes to program it there on the spot. Hence we do not sell any more Mercedes keys, just Chryslers. I hope that does not become the case and I do not want to cancel existing key orders in case we somehow get them through before something like that happens. If someone does want to cancel their key order I can do so 100% in full, but no guarantees on the future ordering at that point.
I have not yet disabled Chrysler key ordering from my website as Chrysler has not rejected any submitted orders so they are still being excepted.
I have emailed everyone on the list a link to this thread and I will continue to update it as info comes in.

Re: Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
Yes we are still able to order them, I cannot promise their arrival dates though at this point. with you being in the UK, if you current key does not have the red panic button on it then you will need to order the same non red panic button key.
Re: Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
Thank you. I have received my registration document today so I am going to contact the previous owner just incase they still have the spare key?? Might be worth a shot? If I have no luck with him do I contact you via this thread to order one, Or do you have a contact email? Thanks
Re: Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
all remaining key orders have arrived here this morning and already shipped out towards everyone. thank you for the patience
i am now regretting not taking a picture of all the key bags laying next to each other on the table this morning

Re: Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
As of 10-02-17 orders, all keys and skreem modules we have on order have not yet arrived here. They are still showing good paid orders in Chryslers system (not discontinued as of yet), and I am continuing to poke chrysler for them to no avail nor info almost daily. I find it odd that the keys and skreems are both held up, but again they keep us in the dark on their production and have no further info to give us other than to please patiently wait. I will update here as I get info and/or keys/skreems arriving.
Re: Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
7 SKREEM's and 1 key just arrived
I assume this means we should be getting a bunch more in tomorrow also hopefully. Those 8 people have already gotten tracking numbers from me. if you didn't get tracking, yours was not one that arrived an hour ago, sorry, hopefully tomorrow.

Re: Replacement Key Ordering System slowing to a crawl
Wait- What's this? You're a key seller? If so, I am in need! I was given two at the time of purchase and managed to quickly blow through (lose) them. I had to reorder a new one from the dealer, which thankfully didn't take more than a couple days. My broomstick was lonely sitting in a lot for 4 days.
Once I got that one (at a very high price), it's all I've had. Now the ring/attachment part has broken. My Mighty Putty fix lasted a surprisingly long time, but couldn't handle the eventual drop.
I bought the plastic skeleton/empty key bodies on eBay and am hoping to put my good key into a good body, but will miss the OEM feel!
Thank you!
