Default Winter Build Plans?

For many of us winter poses a time where we tuck our Crossfire's away into the garage for a few months. During this time, many of us like to utilize the downtime to knock out a few winter projects. What does everyone have planned for this winter? (And you guys that have warm weather year 'round can suck it! haha )

My plans are as followed.
  • Install Needswings oil catch can
  • Install R1 Concepts slotted rotors/ceramic pads
  • Install SRT-4 boost gauge
  • Two new rear tires
  • Paint valve covers & intake manifolds (VHT metallic silver engine paint)
  • Wiechers Sport front strut bar
  • QTP low-profile electric cutouts
About half of the list is simply intalling parts I have lying around, but the rest of the list is rather pricey so we'll have to see how much of this I can actually accomplish by Spring....lol.

Replace/renew and improve the foam and reshape the bolsters in drivers side seat.
Cleaning/restoring the inside of the headlight covers.
Replace fuel filter/pressure regulator

So, I got the foam in the seats renewed, and the bolsters reshaped. It is now 150% better!!! (my estimate YMMV). Now that that's done, I just need a little more padding directly under the tailbone and that piece will be done. Cost me $320, but it was worth every penny!

Did you ever purchase or install Wiecher's Sport front strut bar, or have you been able to confirm whether it will fit in the SRT Engine bay?

On the site photo it looks like there is a bolt that may connect to the top of the engine?

I am primarily interested in the strut tower brace if it is possible to connect it to the motor and help to support the engine from twisting and ruining the motor mounts again.

I know it would be odd to add a hard connection to the motor while the mounts are flexible, but I cannot figure out what the bolt in the center of the bar is for?

The rest of my plans include Eurocharged Pulley and ECU tune, some sort of speaker upgrade and sub install, OEM Replacement motor/trans mount install, cutting the springs and adding camber adjustment front and rear, and replace the steering stabilizer.

I already have all the parts except the speakers and subs, and I'm quite excited to bring it back out again once the salt and potholes are fixed in the MI roads and see how it will drive with all the new parts.

All my winter plans have been torpedoed by a $5,500 dental bill. Maybe next years.

Intake manifolds already on, now a ported and coated Y-pipe (by me), Zietronix full setup with boost gauge and LCD display, and new wheels for the track.

Did that 16 years ago...

So my plans are to install the Wind Restrictor (that shipped today), finish the oil leaking-from-the-breather-covers repair, add rear speakers and amplifier and MAYBE order and install lighted door sills.

Next week, I am off for vacation THurs and Friday (or loose the time) - and may run up to the DRagon, depending on the weather.

I am doing a few things this winter also:

- replace IC with Rudy IC - complete
- baked potato mod new IC - complete
- polish internal of y pipe, SC inlet, and plenums (dremel, extension, & flap wheels FTW) - complete
- change SC oil - complete
- install NW catch can - complete
- install NW supercooler - in progress
- install front camber bolts & realign
- fix random alarming issue
- install gel elbow pad (seriously)
- glue drag radials to rims (they slip)

Possibly if time permits:
- fix seat heater
- add Bluetooth audio
- fan setpoint mod (probably not 10 degrees though, maybe 5 or 6, need to do some testing)
- polish and wax before summer!
