Intermittent a/c problem - no no a/c at all
Intermittent a/c problem - no no a/c at all
Hello everyone!
about 2 months ago my a/c would stop working out of nowhere. By that I mean the blower would malfunction and no air came out of the vents anymore. Then, usually while driving at higher speeds the blower would kick back in and ice-cold air would come at me again.
I'm not an expert when it comes to a/c diagnostics but maybe this problem has been talked about here before and you can point me in the right direction? I haven't had the chance to post much here as of late but the forum always used to be my main starting point in diagnosing problems with our cars.
Thanks for all your help and hope everyone has been well!

I would put my money on the blower resistor.
An easy and cheap fix, about $20-$30 on ebay.
Look for crossfire or slk320 blower motor resistor.

You know, just from reading articles a couple of years ago on the forum I was pretty sure I read somewhere the blower motor resistor is usually what goes bad on our systems.
I took the blower motor out to clean it about a year ago - a/c was making weird noises and turned out the blower motor was full of leafs. I remember exactly where to resistor is located at and what it looks like. Thanks for your heads up. I'll go ahead and order a new resistor right away. Thanks again!
