Default Good bye Pat

I'm a bit late with this post, but I only found out this afternoon that my very good friend Pat Purcell - Patpur - passed away this past Sunday. I've just returned from his viewing this evening, which was well attended, and am thankful to have had the chance to see that irascible rascal one more time.

I know it's silly that we get so involved with these hunks of metal, but in the end, it's the people that own them to whom we really become attached.

I'll miss seeing Pat on Sunday mornings (on those occasions that I made it out for "coffee and cars with Pat and Pat)...shooting the breeze about nothing much and just appreciating the good company.

You left too soon buddy...way too soon. I love you man.

All good thoughts to you Pat.

David.

Yes he was a great guy
I first met him at Carlisle in 2010 and instantly bonded like I had known him for years
That's the kind of guy he was.....he will be missed

We lost a friend

Well said David. I appreciate spending time with you at Pat's going home services and talking about our good friend. You made the experience tolerable. I would like the Crossfire owners to know that Pat's family truly appreciated the kind words and thought about Pat shared via social media. They're (Sharon, Katie and Sean) are having a hard time. So if you knew Pat it would be nice if you gave them a call.

Heard the sad news about Pat from Pat. Still remember my first gtg in MD with both Dave and Pat nearly a decade ago and just found these photos from sept. 2006... back before Pat even had 5k miles on his Crossfire.

Pat, It was a pleasure. You will be missed good sir.

Jason, thanks for the thoughts and the pics, we'll certainly miss him a lot. Hope you're doing well down south, you were very much part of that Sunday morning crew and we miss seeing your face as well.

All the best to you!
