It needs to be programed to suit your cars VIN.

Why? What is wrong with yours.

From an earlier thread on this forum.
.........Any how ordered from Factory OEM Parts in Tampa Florida. They asked Vin and Mileage then sent it.$145 Its the SIEMENS 1708201826 Plugged it in and car started. YEA. A Mercedes mechanic told me to turn to On then wait few seconds to program itself before engaging starter. Then had to program key to unlock doors. So it back on the road now.
$145 is pretty good if you ask me when you really need one.

It is most certainly not the SKREEM.

If the engine does not turn over using the starter, I mean no engine movement at all. Look at the RCM.

If the engine turns over using the starter but does not start it is probably the CPS, of much less likely the Camshaft sensor.

Can we take it that the starter does not turn the engine over?
It is critical that the exact symptoms are explained.

For the most part.. all technical intents.. it applies to our cars. Right hand drive car shown.. so "swap" sides of car.

And as 180 noted.. "exact" symptoms are required or we will be chasing "maybe's" for a while.

Okay so the RCM is still practically brand new. But mt ground terminal was just about destroyed from corrosion so i changed it out and it made a huge difference. Starts up even quicker than before. So everyone on here is right, these cars do NOT like low voltage at all. Thanks for all your help guys.

Glad we got you looking a little deeper into things! You would not be a happy camper having to deal with the skreem.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it, sounds like low pressure to me.
My Ford Ranger is doing the same thing when warm, it takes a few seconds to build pressure.

This one is cheap and accurate, and is almost as easy to use as a tire pressure gauge:

Just a 4 day old infant newb crossfire owner here, but multiple errors might point to the bad engine ground strap issues.

Each of your gauges showed up on the same page, on pizzaguys page yours showed up as a small ad. On your page his showed up as a small ad. There were others with different prices as well.
