Default Where is compliance label?

That might not be the correct term but it is the label/tag that verifies that the XFire complies to (hopefully) all 49 states and CA?

The car just arrived a short while ago from TX and this has been the main item on my mind. I simply can't find it though haven't checked in the trunk but expected it to be in the engine bay.

I'll add that looking for it is not helped by a dead hood strut. Darn heavy hood.

I'll write up more about this later in the Newbie forum, but need to know if I'm going to have problems with the very strict CA DMV regarding bringing in cars from out of state.

Also, where's the best and fastest place to get a new strut? I assume they're all the same for the models,. This is a 2007 Ltd. coupe.

I just ordered a new strut, so that should take care of holding the hood up. Interesting in that there are two struts for the light trunk, and only one (overworked) one in the front.

I should have done this yesterday, but after whittling out a stick to hold the hood up, found the label and it does include CA. Whewwwww! This car was shipped from Belgium and I was afraid it might be a gray market car.

However, I am curious as to where the OBD II connector is located. I assumed it was located next to the firewall, but can't find anything that looks like one in that area.

The connector is under the dash, somewhat above your left foot.

Directly behind the hood release lever - should have a hinged cover on it, too.

Thanks for this info. Unless I missed it, the owner's manual doesn't say where it is.

Here is a picture of it behind the hood release.
