Default Coupes versus Roadsters

Just found this on Facebook:

Chrysler Crossfire

It's in German, but I've never seen a breakdown of numbers like this. By year, is shows total cars, but it also shows Coupes versus Roadsters.

A mod might wanna move this to that thread (that I cant find now) where we are discussing numbers. I don't remember ever seeing this.

Here's the English translation for the 1st page using Google translate. Great find Mark!

The Chrysler Crossfire is available as a coupe and as a roadster derived, which was produced by Karmann on behalf of DaimlerChrysler. The models are based on the Mercedes SLK 170, the Coupé has contrary to this, however, a fixed steel roof and a roadster soft top.

The Crossfire, which was manufactured from 2003 to 2007 by Karmann in Osnabrück, owes its name to the intersecting beads (cross -. Engl cross) in the sidelines. The start of production of the Crossfire coupe was the 3rd February 2003 and the Crossfire Roadster 2 February 2004. The Crossfire was available in two versions: with a 3.2-liter V6 naturally aspirated engine (160 kW/218 hp) and 310 Nm of torque, as well as Crossfire SRT6 with an equal supercharged engine and 246 kW (335 hp) and 420 Nm torque. The latter is based on the engine of the SLK 32 AMG, but was cut back by 14 kW (19 hp).

In connection to this was a 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic (SRT6 only with automatic transmission) with adaptive shift control available (automatic handling as usual, or you turn on the auto-stick function by briefly pressing the selector lever).

There is an English translation on this page, you just have to understand German. LOL

Click
It does not have the same info though I see.
So scratch this.

354HP/332ftlbs of torque on a standard AMG engine fitted into the SRT6. This was part of the post you just put up. All the while, they still claim it was detuned...lol. Nice info you found. Doesn't give any real production breakdown numbers, but still an interesting read.

Great find and I added the coupe/roadster numbers info to one of the many posts about production numbers.

Thanks to Pizza and all who have posted in this thread - fascinating info. Post #6 with numbers is great. (Thanks again Onehundred80). Gotta wonder what the marketing people were thinking as they made their decisions.

Probably so. However, I'm very surprised by the total amount of roadsters produced. I didn't expect the number to be that high.
