What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Pizza - Lots of us in the Detroit metro area if you want to take a break on your way back.
Also, no worries finding a tire. Traverse City is a very affluent, import-oriented market in northern MI with a local BMW & Benz dealer. Think there's a Belle Tire shop up there also.

Personally, I carry a inexpensive tubeless tire repair kit in mine, I can put the plug in and use the compressor, no need for AAA.

I made some slasher style stripes for mine. It's the darkest blue the shop had and it shows up brighter in the pics than it actually looks.

Went to Auto Seat Cover Co. Replaced my fallen headliner. Lupe used a thicker headliner material than the original, it seems to insulate the interior from extreme heat (my car is black) and also from outside noises.
Thanx to all who posted on the headliner thread.
To pizzaguy; sorry for your loss, keep us posted on your trek...
how do you guys post those "I agree" emoticons?

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I arrived home yesterday from a 3037 mile trip from home in Cumming, GA to Traverse City, MI and back again ! Car was wonderful on this LONG trip, carried only a spare CPS and a few misc tools. Got 29.7mpg on the highway, around 25 in towns. Car now has over 93,000 on it.
I'd put a new set of Hankooks on it and had an alignment done - car drove wonderfully. Sure got some neat comments in the more rural areas of northern Michigan from people who'd never seen one!

The Siver Fox is back on the road, but she is looking for the multipurpose tools that were to be in the glove box. Seems my dealer in TX miss placed mind and that caused a lot of problems when the security system locks down your car or you need to be towed from the front.
We are looking for the following tools:
1.) The convertible top emergency opener. Page 195, owners manual.
2.) The tool to unlock the selector lever manually. Page 143, owners manual.
3.) The tool needed to remove the front grill if you are to be towed/pulled onto a flatbed truck. Page 193, owners manual.
4.) The tool needed to remove turn signal and parking light covers. Page 245, owners manual.
Did I miss any?
Where can I get these and does anyone have extras?
Thank you.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
After lunch we had a Mini car show at My local sports bar. My black beauty and a grey R 34 ( GTR ) as well as a red convertible 68 Jag. Popped our Hoods and enjoyed each others cars for a half hour. Every one of those "Car Guys" noted that it was a Mercedes as opposed to a Chrysler.
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Today I decided to show you my V8 exhaust. the exhaust manifolds were Hand made to fit my car, comming off the head is matched flange to head, and then pipe is larger and goes to a three-inch collector, as each pipe is angled from the cylinder into this pipe flowing to the rear. then the 2 7/8 exchaust pipes, down and out ,,I used my stock srt6 muffler.,, the hard part was going over the steering box, but we made it,, here for pictures of the exhaust from under the car, I know someone is going to see that yellow webbing, yes that is the engine tiedown. I'm going to post a link to each picture even though one may give you all of them, I'll give you a sound clip soon. jim

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Screwed up my back bumper. F#@!$N!!!
Put my dog in my wife's car and while I was fumbling with the seat belt I guess I left some pressure off the clutch and next thing I know I tap the rear of the Crossfire. I get out to check the car and there are two dimples on the bumper below the license plate. $587.99 to repair and paint, going to get a couple more estimates.
