But I can't let Rudy get that deep in my pockets..

There are virtually no gains to be had with just an exhaust, or even a full cat back. I have seen the dyno sheets before and I think it may have gained like 3HP with one system, and another actually net a very small loss.

It is pretty much based on your ear, if you want it to sound a certain way there are several completely different sounds you can go for, but not much in the way of performance unless you have an SRT and you can get someone to make you headers that actually fit

Has anyone done a dyno with a mod like mine?

Rear cat delete and full dual with an H pipe?

I am fairly certain that an SRT did the exact same thing out of all SS, a beautiful exhaust with a heavenly sound, I think he netted 1-2 WHP...

What is the expected difference expected in WHP one should expect from consecutive runs on the same car. 1 to 2 WHP would appear to me to be easily within the normal difference.
Two HP would be 1% on a 200 WHP test, 0.5% 0n 400 WHP.
I'd be guessing that these rigs are not that accurate when all is said and done, especially after some years of use. Couple that with the human factor and optimism and those readings would mean nothing.

I couldn't agree more, some have lost a few, some have gained a few, net effect virtually nil.

I like the exhaust mods for looks and sound, but I don't think they get you anywhere on performance from what I have come across...

I still have 2 with stock exhaust systems....not by choice, just haven't done anything to them because of the fact there is no real HP to chase there...but, I would like a little noise other than my S/C screaming....but that isn't a bad sound to hear either....

Max....my idea which I haven't tried yet was a rear cat delete, resonator delete, a cherry bomb h-muffler acting as a cross over, and another acting as my muffler with tips welded on.... I used a cherry bomb on my son's Mitsi that was lying around in my garage for years...and I was surprised by the sound coming out of that 4 cylinder....was hoping to repeat with the 6....we will get around to it someday...

Doc, that was more-or-less my aim. The Magnaflow I put upstream is 2 glasspacks in one housing-very little cross ventilation. Wouldn't be effective as a crossover. Just make sure the Cherry Bomb will do that. The $600 Mag cat-back we all bought is 2 of their $100 mufflers w/tips and $400 worth of pipe.

So that's where I came up with the "Dual/dual" name-just 4 glasspacks.

Speaking about exhausts ......... The difference between open headers on the dyno and the headers connected to the remaining stock system (resonator, muffler etc.) was 7 hp. This was with the dyno incorrectly calibrated and reading 40hp more than it should have but the delta would remain so I figure 6 hp is to be gained from a 0 restriction exhaust. Lots to be gained from yanking the cats though.

Over the weekend I took her out for the photo shoot I've been wanting to do for a very long time. Everything finally came together timing wise and this is the sort of think I came up with.

Can't do anything, the dam thing will not start. Just had a new internal engine module installed and now something new.
Being new to the crossfire, is this common?

Might want to post over in the engine / troubleshooting forum, and be specific about symptoms.
1. Turn key and get dash lights but engine does not turn over ?
2. engine turns over for a few seconds but does not start ?
3. any CEL light / trouble codes ?

And what the heck is an 'internal engine module' ?

GraphiteGhost : this new guy is only 55 miles from you .........

My show was a no-show.
Turns out there was a much bigger show in Gadsden ( about 70 miles away that pulled all the good cars )
