yes, they are on the inside of the plastic and sit right on top of the shock body over the shock shaft.

Replaced the rear center tail ight on the Convetible today. Only half of it worked but it would not pass inspection.

Failed on emmissions also. Most likely beaucse of the battery change. So tomorrow I will drive it about 100 miles "somewheres" so it can pass before March 1st.

Make sure that the tension on the a frame is reduced, no wheel weight, balance spring pressure on arm.

I used a floor jack and 2x4

If I have learned anything about the Crossfire this spring it is that they are not meant to be stored. That and I really miss driving it everyday.

Bussiness is up so maybe I can keep her.

I finally got up off my lazy rear and did the ignition key fix.
It had started acting a bit snittey lately, so I took care of that, although I must admit that I did not put that final screw back in the little hole over by the console. I'm found I was just not a good enough contortionist for that challenge.

BTW: for anyone else as stupid as me, when the instructions say to push the 2 locking ears to release the shift interlock cable, you pull DOWN on the pins, the black plastic block does NOT slide to the rear.

Why does the battery change cause an emissions failure?

Because when you disconnect the old battery the ecm dumps all the stored codes. So you have to drive about 85 to 100 miles to get them to reset.

I went 95 miles but apparently they did not.

So I will pick it up Wednesday, if weather permits, and drive it somewheres.

??? Were those highway miles? If I remember correctly, your supposed to drive it at varied speeds. I've replaced two batteries in Xfires and it always reset pretty quickly with city driving.

About 50/50. I'm glad some of you had better luck but,,,,I didn't. Surpised the hell outta me because the last time the batt went down, I only had to drive about 50 to get the codes to set.

Like I said, it seems storage can be hard on these cars.

I will get it out on the road Wednesday afternoon and if weather permits, I will drive it both town and country. I do need to run to Springfield MO. Some 240 miles each way.

I presume that would do it.
