I finally received my new differential ratio 3.7. It is a direct bolt in and would work in
the Limited and the SRT6. Now I have to go out of town for three weeks so it will be
some time before it is installed.
This is going to change the rules.

Have I missed something....did someone unlock the code to change ratio's? That works? I know EC was working on it.....I'd love a 3.7 if you can get it to work....

I heard the same as you Doc. It's unlocked on the MB platform but not working correctly on the Daimler Chrysler platform. Doubleloader, get it working for us ...... please.

Sorry Anthony...I got a woody for a minute....back to those 3 piece rims... I'd love a set of rims built just for our cars...and in fact found a set I liked...and yes, they were just shy of $5k....without tires....lol..... They would look beautiful though....

I do not see the software as a problem. EC claims they can do the coding change but so can Speedrive as well as my local Dealer. It has been a struggle finding the correct differential.

I have purchased two now and it certainly appears they will bolt in.

We will see. We will see

maybe you would want read this as the EC,,, DID NOT WORK you mqy get a slippage between 2 and 3 gear,,, I am in the process of getting this to work,,, and it will be a 307 ratio or the 327 ratio to work in either the limited and or the srt6 so you no mater what crossfire you own you can have whatever ratio you want how about a 391 ratio?

New tires are mounted on the Forgestars. New lower control arm bushings installed. (Kmac's) Pictures are nice! The old bushings were installed a little over a year ago.

I took my battery tray out, took off the rust, used Plasti-Dip and gave it 4 coats. There was also a spot near the battery tray that had some surface rust, so I got that off and sprayed some Plasti-Dip there, too.

Gave her 74mm of breathing room.. new 3" MAF housing.. and pulled the baffles out of the elbow. At 30 deg. after doing a throttle reset she jumped to 1500 rpm.. hoovered there for about 20 seconds.. dropped to 1000 rpm for about another 10 seconds.. then around 750 and happily held there till my foot said otherwise.

I was kinda surprised as I've read they usually spend a little time "hunting" to find an idle point..

Test drive tomorrow on the way to work.. sounds like a nice way to start the work day / week..

I went up to the North Georgia mountains and played around for the afternoon. The roads were a little wet in places, as the fog/clouds were down to under 3000 feet and many of the roads up there are that high! It sure was nice to have the top down (60-73F depending on altitude).

It was all fun and games, until a Mazda Miata went over the side on GA75 just outside of Helen and rolled several times in the trees.

Driver ok, Passenger in pain in her right shoulder... Driver claimed he lost steering as he entered the curve. It did appear that the passenger side tie rod end had come apart.

Good job! Glad it went trouble free! I have read a few posts where it went sour for this-or-that reason. Yours went like mine, I just made sure what came out (and how it came out) was what went back (except for the larger throats). Happy motoring!

BTW, did you also remove the plastic screen on top of the MAF housing above the aluminum screen? That frees up a HP or two and is the basis for the 'Descreen MAF & Debaffle Elbow' mod.

So far so good.. seems a tad peppier.. Friday I did a cel phone video of dash as I ran her out to 60 from stand still.. was 61 deg. Should be back up around that this Friday.. and then I'll compare.

Only two things that made me say hmmm.. removing the old TB..bolts were VERY easy to break loose.. and the old gasket was coated in silicone.. makes me wonder if someone else hadn't been there before without a torque wrench..

Musta been - mine were pretty tight coming out, and the o ring looked like a worm on the sidewalk in August ...

My TB bolts came out pretty easily and the 'O' ring was all wormed up like George's was (came out in a couple parts too). Cleaning was important, and torquing was easy when going back together. I kept reminding myself the parts were real soft metal and to not over torque. Only have to squish the 'O' ring for the most part. I just might go back in there with the torque wrench someday soon to see if those TB bolts came loose any.

Installed the LateModel21 PSK and bought some rear wheels/tires. Now it's time to order adapters for the new drag setup and I need to mount a bracket in the back. Lots on the plate today.

Rear Daily wheels:
