What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
WOW....Jim....great news....looks like I will be looking for a new or used 3.27 gear set...might have to rethink buying another SRT6 now...this mod would make a big difference at the track. I believe there are some 3.55 gear sets out there....have to give Rudy a call. I had to re-schedule my tune for this Monday since they couldn't get it to work on Windows 8. Keep that in mind if any of you are getting a new tune anytime soon. I am sure they will fix that. I have all but put the power to the dashdaq/zt2...just one more wire to run...the flu bug is holding me up today....

Went to the Grocery and then to Walgreen's. When I came out I found a man taking pictures of my car. He and his daughter had seen "Top Gear" and they love the Crossfire. I told him that there are several in this area for sale and if he buys he needs to join CICCI.

I replaced the Turn Signal Relay (Chrysler # 05101505AB / MB # A 002 542 2119) inside the driver's side, engine compartment, fuse/relay box. I did this because when I set the alarm, only the passenger side turn signal lights flashed and another poster on this site suggested replacing the relay. It worked. We just got our Crossfire a few months ago and have really enjoyed driving it and reconditioning it in the areas it needs. This forum has been extremely valuable!

Replaced my OEM cabin filter and engine air filters w/38 piece ratchet screwdriver set courtesy Pep Boys. Not the Micronair or Mann filters but Purolators. I wanted to make sure I had the right parts for my 6. Car breathes much easier now. So do I. More leaf debris in passenger side airbox than driver side, though.
I will go for Micronair charcoal and K&N set next time, now that I've done the service.

My 2,3,4 and 5 Run, One of them was a .0 66 and one was a .0 67 ,, was 60 foot was .172 & 178
on all four runs, once I got into third gear the car went into limp mode, I even try to go slow one-time, it still went in the limp mode of those last four runs were 15.9 16.1 16.1 16.2
I spoke to Jerry from euro charge, he wants me to send it back to him which I will do tomorrow morning. I guess I will provide 307 back in it until I get these bugs worked out. . So I guess my advice is hold off until all the bugs are worked out and then, go for it jim

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Ordered my first (likely of many, right? lol) IC pump. Decided to go with the Ford racing unit as I didn't want to chance bursting a seal on the intercooler.
I then knocked off the "CROSSFIRE" badge from the rear lid. My old 300 had no model markings on the back aside from the wings and an SRT badge and I quite liked it. -Looks even better on this little rocket!
Also checked the door sills for rust and it looks like I'm in the clear! I would like to inject some kind of silicone in the seam at the bottom of the doors just to keep things in check.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Discovered that the IC pump from Ford Racing is *not* the same hardware. Turns out that the brushes in my OE pump caused a lot of gunk which in turn caused poor rpm ooutput and of course, disengaged blower. Said 'hell with it' and overnighted the Johnson. :-)
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I did a lot!
1) I read that the headlight adjustment bolt can break free of the headlight assembly, and there is an easy fix. I applied the fix and I'm now good to go.
2) I installed seat covers.
3) I removed my fan shroud.
4) I used gasket sealant to glue a HID bulb into the headlight housing since the retainer clip is missing.
5) I realized that I have to remove the exhaust, to remove the starter, to install the Miller flywheel lock, to remove the crank pulley. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have an update of me installing something.
That's what I did today.
