Ummmm, you should be descreening the MAF and debaffling the elbow. No baffles are in the MAF (btw leave the metal screen in the MAF that is originally under the plastic screen, to protect the sensor).

That is what I meant! I de-baffled the elbow and de-screened the MAF...good thing I kept the metal one, though! Next time I am under there, I will replace it. I don't recall seeing that mentioned in the thread for the mod...

Protect the sensor? From flying air? Or in case your filter falls apart in gets sucked in?

Re-installed the NeedsWings CAI and had Hankooks fitted all around.
It seems like a different car.

Gone and forgotten.

I can hear the SC again now the CAI is back on.

Next up, the long delayed brake job. When ever I can get the Ideal rear pads, back to Orangeville I guess.

Catch can, when I get all the bits together.

Konis when I get an answer on price delivery from NeedsWings. HINT, HINT.

I think we should get the Koni's while we are at Woodward. I also want a spare SC bearing and Serp belt from Rob. Oh and I almost forgot the PSK too.

Yes I agree, the delivery is dependent on the back order situation, the price has not been mentioned yet.

Well, I got the news from my next door neighbor.

Original fine and points:

$845

6 points

He was able to get it reduced to:

$256.

2 points.

No dismissal. His buddy "Hizzoner 'da Judge" wouldn't hear of it. Can not/will not complain.

I have my neighbor's Lexus sedan in the driveway so I can start detailing it bright and early tomorrow.

And damned glad to have the opportunity to do it.

And even better: very, very little paint correctiom!

Ooooooohhhhhhhhh yeah.

I told him I felt kind scuzzy having him do anything like this for me. He replied that he had no problem with this at all. "You're the best neighbor I've ever had" he told me.

Well, he ain't too bad hisself!

AND, I think, especially here in the south (at least here in Alabama) the tax (revenue) structure is taking a big wallop these days. We don't have income tax, but we DO have very high sales tax. Folks aren't purchasing as much these days, so the cash stream is drying up.

Riddle me this:

Auburn is a town of ~ 20,000. We have a captive audience of ~ 27,000 students 9 months of the year.

Why can't the City of Auburn make ends meet? I was told that the patrol officers are no longer allowed to let offenders off with a warning. If they pull you over for a violation-they MUST ticket you, or they will be in trouble. Not a quota, you understand. That was made very clear to him. My son's old coach is an AUPD officer-this is from the horses mouth.

I'm getting a new roof and they placed all the shingles right behind my car space on the driveway and it was stuck in the garage for a week. I was finally able to get it out and went on a cruise with my local car club. I was able to follow a very nice, clean 1970 Jaguar E-type. We didn't go that fast and it was probably the best gas mileage I have ever gotten on a club cruise.
