Damn Max, hope it isn't that bad...

Here they never print the fine on the ticket anymore, you have to wait 7-10 days then go online and see. I just got one for right on red and it cost me $240

Good news:

I took second in my class at a custom car show last weekend with over 700 entries. Some cool cars, some good bands, and a fun time. Got a nice Hydrojet cut metal trophy with custom paint on it

In Georgia, they came up with an answre for the state's financial mess: The "Super Speeder Law".

20 over and higher, you pay the normal fine THEN you get a bill from the state.

Kathy got nabbed for something like 72 in a 45, it all came to $470.

I met a kid at the Dragon in May, he'd been caught doing 103 in a 40 on the Skyway. Cop wrote him for 60 in a 40 - which was going to cost him over $400 !!! But even then, the cop was good to him, 103 in a 40 would mean a ride to jail.

What is REALLY funny is that Kathy runs a driver education program for the State of Georgia (she evaluates and trains those who are handicapped, injured or very old to see if they should drive, and what special equipment they need to do so).

Instant on locked on to me @ 109 in a 70 zone. I had time to scrub off ~ 20 MPH from the first "BEEEEEEEP" from the Escort, so it isn't too "Instant".

Nice cop, just caught me. Zero traffic. That's why he didn't add "reckless" to the tab. Oh, well. I won't complain and beg for sympathy from here for this. Like some have.

Did you know where to find sympathy?

In the dictionary between "$hit" and Syphilis".

A fellow forum member recently got hit with a 130mph ticket in a 70 (or there about). Apparently he was doing around 160 when he spotted the cop (no radar detector). He was charged with reckless and his car impounded. I don't think it's public knowledge on here, so I can't say any more.

I guess I'm saying things could have been worse, Max. Good luck and I hope they take it easy on you both.

Thanks everyone-I appreciate your thoughts.

A fund has been set up:

www.getmaxoff.net

Please contribute generously and often! What funds that aren't used for fines and/or legal fees will be used exclusively at my local tittybar. I promise!

Funny thing-my citation says "..in violation of A.S. (Alabama Statute) blah-blah, exceeding the local posted speed limit by 26 MPH."

That would be, if my math is anywhere close...96 MPH.

But, in another box it says 109 mph. Two violations?

I'll bet.

And I was only 7 miles from Georgia! I coulda' done a "Macon County Line" scene!

If the statute is written as a 'bracket' system, then the 'by 26' could indicate the penalty level involved, point wise and $$$ wise.
( 109 is > 70 + 26 ), so maybe 97 & 109 are the same ?

Pictures (from the titty bar!) or funds exceeding fines were

embezzled and we get refunds plus 10%!

"the site does not work?"
Well, here I got fined for not having the registration sign in front 200 bucks. That has happened 4 times. Proves my stupidity or how much I love the cars looks without it...

Do you accept PayPal ?
Dakota has 2 squeaky toys he said you could have to fill in the empty jail time.
Missy ( Mercedes ) said she could really care less.
( and Susan said I'm not allowed to come out and play with you anymore, you are officially a 'bad influence' )
