Finally got the car back together and it drives completely differently!
red powder coat looks great 👍

Installed a touch screen so I can run Car Play like a modern car. It has an option to connect using FM radio and that's what turned out to work best. Much better sound! For the first time I heard and felt sound from the subwoofers. Navigation and music are just a touch away now. I used the window mount to locate the 9 inch screen directly over the center vents. My view is unobstructed and since I use Car Play is our Malibu I can operate the system with a minimum of distraction.
Found it on Amazon, link is below.

when you have a moment, please upload a few images post installation. What did you need to modify to get it to work, how did you attach it. Are there external cables? If yes, how are ther concealed. This could be a good solution for many wanting 2023 Audio, sat and video accessibility

I tried 3 different Android Radios, this was the best I found that fit in a 1-Din, UIS7862s Octo-core, 6GB ram, AndroidAuto/CarPlay and still allowed switching between inefficient apps to be used, and didn't lock up when doing anything.

For my use I had a TPMS USB dongle for TPMS info, Bluetooth OBD2 for engine/tcm parameter tracking and MPG tracking

Got it on AliExpress for $350 and during the swap also switched to a JLAudio Rd400/r Amp.

Images of all 3 Radios and current one installed - https://imgur.com/a/AP2pWmR

I still think that to date our solution to the DD head units is the best. Although I would like the unit above the heat/cool outlets. But It would would require a new dash pad to add a third hump to, either built into the pad or a separate piece that matches the pad finish. Too much work for me, a little side project for you though. 😉

No big projects planned. for awhile. I like my DD But really think that this is a great off the shelf solution

looks great.

I Plan to repaint a few items in spring but that’s it.

i really just want to take a break from projects and drive the car.

Filled it from nearly empty with BP Premium with added STA-BIL fuel stabilizer and took it for a drive and realized it rolled over 90,000 miles this afternoon.
I have driven it a total of 38,537 miles since I bought it on March 15, 2018

I don’t know what others think but we have thousands of Crossfire pictures on here which are all described as beautiful. My car looks like any other Aero Blue SRT, nothing would make it stick out in a parking lot of a thousand of them.
What is good about pics from Valk is the settings, it could be Joe Bloes car but it is the background that makes the photo.
We have had some great shots of the cars on here but it is the background that makes the car look good.
For the best photos look at the German Crossfire calendar, amazing and professional looking shots.
People often ignore the fact that a telephone pole or tree appears to be the sitting in the drivers seat, mistakes like that are not making the car look beautiful or even worth putting on the forum.

One hundred80 is Right. Valk creates a narrative with his cars and there are no distractions. Easy to view with everything in balance.

Swapped TCM with a tuned one from @latemodel21 also got a Supercharger brace & Paddleshift kit as well. Will likely install the paddleshift kit and brace after Thanksgiving. Waiting on a new pulley from Poland to arrive.

I appreciate the positive comments shared here .....yes I agree the background really sets up the overall photo for quality
I have always had that attention to detail for the most part with my pics

Took advantage of the nice weather today & cleaned the wheels on my 2007 Coupe. I've been using Turtle Wax Wheel & Tire Cleaner for the past year or so - always gives great results.

Yesterday I picked up my wheels that I had repaired and refinished.
I just bought my roadster in April and the curb rash and scratches made the wheels look terrible.
USA Wheels did a great job! The wheels were repaired, repainted, tires remounted and balanced.
They still need a quick clean to remove a little bit of tire mounting lube around the edges, but what a difference!

Yesterday was the wheels, today I replaced the antenna gasket on my roadster.
It took a while but it wasn't that hard of a job. The hardest part was rigging up something to hold the deck and top up so I could get at the retainer nut.
I used a 7/8 wrench to remove it. Here's some pics, including one with the part number for the antenna assembly.

Rig for top and deck lid. Hey, it worked! LOL

The old gasket fell apart as I was removing it.

I purchased a set of clear marker (led)lights and installed them. A nice upgrade to the Xfire. Purchased from Amazon. The look sharp and very bright at night. I highly recommend them.
