What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
it depends on a few things. Is it your first time and are you separating the breathers from the covers. It took me 90 min to separate them. They were secured by an over abundance of RTV.
That was a fun afternoon

Had a new set of tires installed (rear)
I noticed the cord showing when I changed the Fuel filter. Looking into rear camber adjustment.
0 in stock in my Province. Online at Blackcircles, delivered in 4 days. Best part was the price, ordered on line and delivered was way less expensive than all local quotes.

I replaced the rear Hankooks on mine two weeks ago, they had done nearly 10,000 miles. After they were fitted originally I tried to get the new front and rears aligned, no luck except one place said they could do it. They did the front and then found they could not do the rear so they said ‘sorry and no charge for the fronts’.
I thought I would keep an eye on them, over the 10,000 miles the rears were down to the wear strips on the inside and 1/32” over the wear strips on the outside on both tires. The fronts are worn quite even, no odd pattern to be seen.

Just before Eureka this year I noticed the supercharger bearing on the black roadster was getting noisy. I have a spare that also needs a bearing so I took the pulley off the blue coupe and put it on the black roadster to make the trip. I ordered two bearings and finally got around to installing them today. I put the bearings in the freezer and the pulleys in the oven at 200 degrees, the bearings dropped right in. Now both cars are repaired and I have a good spare again.

~ Windshield surround on the black SRT (171,500mi), finally got the correct silver and painted and clearcoated. I have to lightly wetsand it and polish it today.
~ Printed out all of the service manual documents on removing the convertible lifting cylinders for the Aero Blu roadster that I am prepping for sale...still, it's been a hot summer. Hope Klaus still does these.

Ordered some new headliner material today. It sags on the passenger side, to the extent the passenger cant see out the window!
Pictures might follow, once I get the roofliner out of the car to complete the job !!
Serves me right for dropping the liner on one side when I was fitting some cabling through the car. Was fine before I touched it !!

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Bought the car a year ago and joined forum. This is the first post other than saying hi so hope I don't step on too many toes... Reading all the posts there was somethings I wanted to do and then there was/is somethings I needed to do. The car only came with one key fob that was in pretty rough shape so I ordered a new one from the dealer (I know there will be backlash about that) that was a 4 month wait that ended with a $950 bill (Canadian so not bad right???). The tint in the rear window was bubbling bad so it got new tint. My rear spoiler had quite a few chips in the paint so I sanded that down primed it and repainted it (paint repair kit from 'scratches happen' matched perfectly)-got a slight orange peel to it so it will be redone down the road. Drivers side valve cover was leaking (re-seal kit from needs wings) repaired after a lot of digging the old sealant out. I wanted the upgraded throttle body and cold air intake (again from needs wings). Also a good idea if you are hoping to do stuff to and for your engine is to put on an oil catch can, done. The las thing was the Mercedes engine cover, I like the look. My front tires are 11 years old so my next purchase is new tires. Here are some pics.
new key fob
the car is wet but you can still see the bubbled tint
thought it would be easier to cover the car instead of remove the spoiler
new window tint and spoiler paint
fun stuff from needs wings
kept the OEM for later
oil leak LH side
re-sealing (did both sides)

This was more like, “what have you done to your Crossfire over several days”
general maintenance, gaskets, thermostat, tensioner, HD Belt….
rebuilt Supercharger (and spare)
thanks to Rob at Needswings, Chris LM21, 180 and Blue Coupe. I appreciate the knowledge that you shared. It made the process a lot easier.
