I have several jobs to do that a "wheel hanger" will make easier, so I just now removed a lug bolt to make sure I order the right one. Our lug bolts have an M12x1.5 thread with a shank length 2 eyelashes shy of 40mm. The ECS Tuning tool you linked to does say "fits all Mercedes-Benz" but that's simply not true in our case. However there are a plethora of M12x1.5 thread wheel-hangers for sale, enough to make me spend an entirely unjustified amount of time choosing one, even though I could close my eyes and pick one with the same success!!! 😂

NO - The Lug bolts on the Crossfire are M12x1.5 with a shank length of 39 mm.

Feeling all the aches today, especially when the RF wheel/tire rotated while setting it to the hub (right middle got between caliper and wheel spoke and wrenched the finger knuckle. OUCH!). Used a few muscles that weren't used lately..... Thank GAWD for tylenol...

Gotta consider doing this rotation & service on my 2007 Coupe (which has the same tires), hopefully w/o the knuckle mishap but probably with the aches & pains next day. Probably will wait for it to warm up a bit.

Besides getting a wheel hanger I got rid of my steel floor jack and bought a aluminum one, sure has helped with the aches and pains

Did my rotation with the OEM jack and 2 jack stands. didn't need a steel or aluminum floor jack at all. Am of the mindset that using jack stands is the only way to go unless needing to repair a flat tire away from home (where no floor jacks or jack stands are available)

You have a good point, I should use the factory jack just in case I have to use it. I'll know how it works

After seeing these, I figured if I had 2 of them the wheel would never have spun on the rotor and caught my finger. SO, I bought a set!

I also looked at these (
Amazon Amazon
), and am considering these for a future purchase. Way down near the bottom of the page, it says for SLK's (171) so I figure they will sit in those receivers where the OEM jack slides in (for using a floor jack without damaging the car).

Just a note of caution, when you set the jack, the top slides in and securely sits IN that slot. If misaligned, it might 'pop' in (or hopefully not out) and scares the crapola outa you!

I've got several versions of these that I use exactly as you're suggesting. They work great! Probably the best ones are a couple of aluminum versions I bought off eBay. They don't "flex" like some of the rubber or plastic ones do. And they work best with a floor jack that has a lifting pad similar in size. And I've got a couple of small, 2 ton floor jacks that have the carry handles on them plus a small lifting pad. My $0.02.

So I was looking around in the factory color code cross reference guide covering our Crossfires. I've always held the position that Blaze Red & Inferno Red were the same colors with only a name change difference. But depending on the model year, the Sherwin Williams color codes were different. And I've had several paint shops tell me that there was a difference in the colors. Can anyone offer a confirmation on whether the "Reds" on our Crossfires were different?

Jim, they are offering us (Mrs and I) the Moderna locally OR the Pfizer at the local AFB. Which did you receive and were the side effects (if any) tolerable? Appreciate your input.

The Moderna shot(s) have 3 times more antibodies than the Pfizer shot(s), thus your body will have a stronger reaction to it with more side-affects.
